Has the Super 6 been a success?

So far it's been a failure.

In the first fight a shot Jermain Taylor could hardly move without getting warned for something while Abraham fouled his ass off, and the ref turned a blind eye.

The second fight was atrocious. One of the worst so called "world Class" fights I've ever seen.

In Ward/Kessler Andre Ward threw 9 head butts and landed 5 of them. Nuff said.

The inclusion of Allan "I can't feel my feet" Green was a complete joke.

In Dirrell/Abraham the guy who constantly complains about his opponents "fouling" him got DQed for a blatant foul.

Kessler/Froch was the only decent fight so far.

You really have to be a blind and bias nuthugger to call this thing a success.

Its an exciting thing the super 6, apart from hometown judging tho, my only other gripe is that it has dragged on a little bit.

Since all the fights were pre arranged theres no reason why they couldnt have speeded **** up and had them doing 3 fights a year instead of one every 6 months or whatever it is.

 

Of course it has it's faults, but there is no way all this many top guys would have fought each other in a 2 year span.

These are good matchups. What other division is having matchups like this.

Whether or not each actual fight turns out to be so satisfying cannot always be predetermined.

 

It was definitely a good thing,i just wish they would take the fights to a more neutral grounds.

 

Normally yes, but this is a tournament. A tournament should not take this long and be called succesfull.

 

There haven't been any robberies. And the hometown fighter is winning because they are either knocking someone the **** out, winning by an illegal blow, or just flat out whooping the other, schooling them and making them look bad.

BOT, the Super 6 is throwing the best of the best, 6 great fighters (well may'be 5. Green hasn't exactly done anything great) and nobody is ducking anybody . We are also getting some Fight Camp 360's. I don't see how anybody can hate on this tournament.

 

That's a US thing only. The Super Six is packed with well-known fighters (in Europe). It's vice versa - MMA is completely unknown here...nobody cares.

 

This is exactly what i was thinkin....wen i saw the so called ******ed boxing fans saying it was slow....how often do you get top fighters fighting each other and not some random walk over bum? Exactly....enjoy the show....and dont ***** about it...:thumbsup

yes, i like it, just wish the fights weren't so far apart ...though i understand boxers need to recuperate

 

if this were a poll I would say yes. Never helps to have the top fighters fight the best. If they would only do this at lightweight and welterweight.

 

"The best are fighting the best" is an outright lie. Some of the very best fighters around the weight were excluded on the basis of cost. When certain fighters are excluded because including them cost to much, that can only mean that other fighters were included because they work cheaper. Under those circumstances there is no way in hell you can legitimately claim "the best are fighting the best."

 

Of course it's a success and more fights set to come, what is there to dislike?

There has been some controversy and that comes with the sport, not because of this tournament.
