Cant wait for this fight.... damn! I also think Manny is spot on in his take too. I expect Dawson to have complete control by the 10th and perhaps get a stoppage (though yes i realise hes not known for racking up TKO's) Go Dawson... though i have grown to like Pascal too. Should be a good fight. At least two hungry young fighters like these two are facing eachother instead of the other half of boxing where its like pulling teeth to get two names in the same ring.
I thought Manny's analysis was ****. It's obvious he knows very little about Pascal. Not that he's wrong in saying Dawson will most likely dominate Pascal. It's just that he doesn't seems to be basing his analysis on anything other then Chad Dawson is very very good.
It's not much of a dilemma! If you have more than a 100$ to spend on a ticket (no more cheap seats!) and that you wanna pay your beer 10$ a pop and more, than you go buy yourself a ticket.
No ****, +100$ is a lot of money to watch the fight on a big screen (because you're too far to see anything that's going on in the ring). The cheapest seats are like 84$ + 10$ "service charge" + taxes = $106. There's probably a shipping charge added on top of that to have the privilege to get an email and then print out your own ticket. What a bunch of ****ing theives. For that you get a crappy seat to watch an excellent main event but one of the worst undercard ever.

And he's counting on his Man to have better finishing abilities than Ademek, Harding, or Johnson. ----------------- With just days before Saturdays HBO televised match-up between WBC champion Jean Pascal and light-heavyweight kingpin Chad Dawson, Fightnews caught up with Pascals trainer Marc Ramsay who has been racking the frequent flyer miles as he has brought his fighter to three different locales trying to obtain elite status for his man in a showdown that pits two of the divisions best against each other. Ramsay described camp as great, saying good doesnt even begin to describe it. Fightnews: Tell me about the decision about taking training camp on the road and travelling to Columbia and the Dominican Republic. Ramsay: First of all, for us, its always been the same; we have a lot of connections over there. We always have, me (and fellow trainer) Pedro Diaz, I was national amateur trainer for Canada and he was national trainer for Cuba; we have a lot of connections in Columbia and Dominican Republic and for us that just makes it easy to organize things and it makes things easier for Jean to focus and what he has to do. Fightnews: You told me that camp was great, what made it so good? Ramsay: We began as a transitional camp in the Dominican Republic. We just worked on general physical preparation. After that we went to Bogota which is one of the highest cities in the world and we went there for high altitude training camp with Pedro Diaz and a lot of people who are specialists in that type of training. It was specific physical preparation. Then it was off to Miami for specific technique and tactical training program and we finished it up here in Montreal. Fightnews: Jumping to fight night, what is that you think Jean can do that 29 opponents before him couldnt, hang a loss on Dawsons perfect 29-0 record? Ramsay: For that Im going to tell people to tune in to HBO, because Im not going to tell you today. We have our plan and Dawson is an amazing fighter and Jean is an amazing fighter also. Every fighter has their weaknesses and strong points. Dawson, even though he hasnt lost, he has weaknesses also. If you look at the last couple of fights, you can see it and it very clear and were going to abuse that element the night of the fight. Fightnews: So you have watched a lot of tape and there are things you feel you can exploit Saturday night. Ramsay: We are sure about it. It is something others have exploited but didnt finish the job, but were going to do it. Fightnews: Even though hes undefeated, he has been knocked down before, anything you plan on exploiting there? Ramsay: Hes been knocked down by Adamek, he was knocked down by Willie Lee at the beginning of his career and also by Eric Harding, there are also several times he has been shaken up in his career. If you look at the way the knockdowns came, it was always the same situation in the ring. We just have to produce that same situation again and were going to make sure hes not going to come back up from that knockdown. Fightnews: Do you feel youre bringing in an element into the fight that Dawson has not been up against before, that being speed. His last four fights have been against two guys pushing forty who are great boxers but may not have the speed that Jean does. Ramsay: I think he might under-estimate the speed of Jean but well see the night of the fight. Johnson was an amazing fighter even if he was old, same thing with Tarver, a very good veteran, but I think we bring something new to the table and well see how he is able to deal with that. Fightnews: I know you cant bank on Dawson getting knocked down, but do you feel that it will be a likely occurrence? Ramsay: Im pretty sure at some point in the fight its going to happen for sure. Fightnews: If thats the case, you have to like Jeans ability to close the show. Ramsay: Exactly. Its part of our strategy, at some point in the fight, we know that situation is going to happen. I wouldn't worry about it. An Excuse to go to Montreal is always worth every penny. Even if the card sucks I'm sure you'll find away to make it worth your while.
