Breidis Prescott?

Damn, his resume is actually based on beating lots of tomato cans.

so back to Prescott .. can he amount to anything .. will he even get a chance to get that big fight?

Prescott looks like **** right about now. & that's bad given his recent comp.

 

He lost, and when that happened people gave up on him just like Khan when he was starched. You guys that pull this crap are total flakes. People can't be perfect all the time.

Just watch the sport and enjoy it, don't get on some silly ass bandwagon, only to burn it to the ground once it stops going your way. Flakes I said, bunch of flakes.

 

It was 10 rounds, he scored a nice KD, but the tomato can Cuello was coming on stronger in the last two rounds and had Prescott in retrear mode.

Breidis is a lower level B level fighter imo, what might help him out is his power, but I don't see him going anywhere.

 

Prescott needs a better trainer that will help him with timing that heavy straight punch down the pipe. Someone like Jack Lowe for a year or two; put him to work hitting monster tires with a sledgehammer for awhile. He's got the raw talent, just needs to pull the trigger better.

Prescott fought mostly guys with LOSING records. Let's take a look.

His first 8 opponents had a combined win-loss record of 4-27. Most without a single win and most had lost by KO everytime.


He then "stepped up" vs a 7-8 fighter, and took him out in 2. This guy had already lost 8 times by knockout.

Then comes monster Jose Mendrano (30-19). This guy had lost 8 times by KO vs bums, it took Prescott 5 rounds to get him out of there.

Another 0-1 fighter follows, then a 1-6 fighter who had already been KOd 6 times vs bums.

Now we're getting real serious. In his 13th fight, he fights Miguel Suarez (4-23), 14 losses by way of knock out. Prescott takes 3 rounds to get him out of there.

Next up is tomato can Dunis Linan, who appears to be the first fighter Prescott fought who doesn't fold like a lawn chair.

In his 14th fight, tomato can Franklin Arroyo (7-5 record, 5 losses by KO). Prescott takes him out in a 2 rounds.

Orlando Solano boasting a perfect (0-7record with 7ko losses atsch) Pretty sure this guy was just pulled from the local bar, drunk. Prescott takes him out in a round.

16th fight, Prescott takes on the elite Anibal Polanco (4-5-3, 2ko losses) Prescott takes him out in a a round.

17th fight, Prescott finally takes on someone who looks to have a decent record, Richard Abril (10-0-1). Prescott fails to knock him out, but takes the decision.

18th fight, Prescott travels to the UK to take on a man he describes as "a pampered baby". He wobbles the kid with a jab, and then takes him out, much to the shock of the home crowd. He's defeated Amir Khan.

Next up is Humberto Toldeo (mediocre journeyman, with 5 losses, 3 by KO.) Prescott cannot take him out, and wins by DQ in the 10th. Interestingly, this guy was brutally KOd by

20th fight, Miguel Vasquez (journeyman with a decent chin) Prescott cannot take him out, despite flooring him in the first, loses a SD.

21st fight, Brit/Euro level Kevin Mitchell. Mitchell takes some shots off Prescott but walks through them, winning an easy UD. In his next fight, Mitchell is brutally banged out by Katsidis in 3 rounds.

22nd fight, back to what he does best, fighting and knocking out glass jawed bums. Jason Davis (11-6, 3 losses bby KO. Prescott takes a round LONGER than

So there you have it, when Prescott has stepped up past the Columbian night-club bouncer/road-sweeper/cab driver level, he has KOd no one, apart from Amir Khan. Prescott is not a power puncher, he's a guy who can knock out bums, but nothing else. Prescott doesn't hit that hard, it's just Khan's chin is THAT BAD! The end.

Look, I'm not claiming Presscott is anything special, infact I said that he was a LOWER LEVEL B fighter, meaning B-, meaning almost a C level fighter.

Presscot has power, he just has horrible technique, horrible stamina, and has no skill.

Power doesn't mean much if you canlt land cleanly. But Power is the ONLY thing Prescott has.

 

No, he's not. He was moved off the card in Panama to fight on FNF.

As for the other question, Prescott won't amount to anything. He's no good and he never was. He caught Khan cold, and Khan has a crappy chin. That's the entire story. Since then, he struggled with Francisco Lorenzo, and before that he should have lost to Richard Abril.

maybe you're thinking of Humberto Toledo, where Prescott looked quite poor although still clearly won.

After that he lost the back to back decisions against Miguel Vasquez and Kevin Mitchell who to be fair are both decent fighters but neither is anything special and neither may ever live up to being World title level(although Vasquez has a chance soon and Mitchell will surely get another at some stage).

Prescott is quite an average fighter, I suppose with his technique being so raw maybe a decent trainer could do something with him. But as he is he's going nowhere and doing nothing, and is very unlikely to beat a fighter with as high a reputation as Khan again.

Honest mistake. Just got the names changed up. In any case, it was someone Peterson schooled, who was way smaller than him, and was old, and he didn't look good and got bitten in the process.

 

Miguel Vazquez is not a journeyman. He is a solid contender that will be fighting for a 135 belt this saturday. Other than that, pretty good post.
