Fowler didnt have the chance to take this fight, maybe he would of beat him aswell. should av a box off give fowler chance to prove he's the best at the weight

 

smith didnt win the fight, cant see how they arent taking fowler atsch

 

defo unfair for fowler the kid keeps winning titles and does not get picked ,also he beat smith in the abas.what more does he have to do.

 

Hate getting involved in this argument again....but first things first...Fowler did not win the fight against Callum! Even the judges knew that...it showed a floor in the scoring system yet again. Judges scores of 22 - 11 Callum, 24-19 Callum, 12-7 Callum, 14-14 and 11-9 Fowler yet Fowler wins 7-6???

Both lads are from Liverpool and will obviously meet again to sort it out. Callum is going the Commonwealths, so rather than knock the kid, why not get behind him.

The two will have a healthy rivalry leading up to 2012 which can only be good for the country.

I understand every score has a bit more behind than we see. Callum's a good boxer and I wish him the best but do you not see why Fowler should be a bit aggrieved? He does have the W over Callum and is ABA champion! Is a box off not the best solution?

No matter who goes to India though I'll be cheering them on.

 

Yeah I see exactly where your coming from....and i think with this new tournament coming about soon for selection places for 2012...amateur boxing is taking a step forward. There will be no arguments then. So for now, Callum is going. After the Commonwealth's, they will both be in this GB tournament and can both have the chance to settle a score.

Its definitely unfinished business.

 

The GB tournament will be a great thing. The best should fight the best and then we'll see what happens. Best of luck to Callum though.

On another note, I've got £50 on you at 6/5 for next month so get your rest so you're fit for a good days training tomorrow!

There were a few videos up here of Simpson sparring last week but they've been taken down now, might have been interesting for you. Even after watching them 6/5 seems like a steal to me though. Best of luck mate, I've got a holiday to pay for!
