yeah, had adamek instead of dirrell to start with!

 

Marquez proved he is still in form, he should be back at #3.

Your confusion is due to your lack of boxing knowledge ... Never can you base your entire view on how a fight would turn out based on an a common opponent that the two fighters have both faced. I won't list them, but if you had Any knowledge of boxing you would know how many times there has been cases where one guy struggles with a particular fighter , another guy doesn't... But when the two meet , the fighter who struggled against the common opponent , destroys the other guy.

Styles make fights ..Manny fought a younger Marquez at his best weight .. Manny's aggressive style was tailor made for Marquez's offensive counterpunching style and manny still beat marquez up. Floyd fought an older , bloated Marquez.. Fghting 3 weight classes above where he should be , and Floyd still didn't make the agreed upon catchweight. Marquez is not an aggressive pressure fighter, but to beat Mayweather he was forced to take on this style.

That's a solid list my dude...here's mine:

1) Floyd Mayweather Jr. (yes, he looks like a ***** not fighting Manny in November. First, we don't know what has really gone on behind the scenes. Second, he's the best fighter all-around hence p4p)

2) Manny Pacquiao (more or less a #1b, he's a beast no doubt, but Floyd would simply outbox him and he has a strong enough chin to endure the punches Pac may be able to touch him with. Otherwise, no one else out there can touch him)

3) Chad Dawson (This spot is a tough one to fill cus' the drop off is so vast from 1 and 2 to the bottom 3-10. I give it to Bad Chad assuming he gets by Pascal this weekend. His win over Adamek is simply remarkable, and his conclusive wins over Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnson would give him enough for this spot on the chart.)

4) Juan Manuel Marquez (No, he can't fight at welterweight hence a fight with Pacquaio would be against his best interest at 147lb. However, at lightweight no one can touch him, and if he does go up to 140lb, he could make some noise. Alexander, Khan, and even Bradley have shown weaknesses in their game and an experienced, elite fighter like JMM can exploit that if he can hold the weight.)

5) Sergio Martinez (underrated and avoided until he finally got his moment to shine against Paul Williams in a fight some, me included, feel he won. His coming out party was the beat down he put on Middleweight kingpin Kelly Pavlik. It even has P-Will tentative to fight him again.)

6) Paul Williams (hardly looked convincing in a razor thin win against Martinez, and was getting outboxed for the first 3 rounds of his last fight against Kermit Cintron until the Puerto Rican banger fell out of the ring and the zany California rules went to the scorecards, which inexplicably gave Williams the win. Hesitant for a rematch with Martinez, despite HBO's insistence, Williams has all the potential to rule the sport, but must pick a weight and stick to it for a while or he will continue to look subpar against the games elite.)

7) Wladimir Klitschko (boring and overly technical, but the superior boxer/puncher in the weak heavyweight division. The guy no longer loses, but will certainly have that questionable chin tested against big puncher Samuel Peters

8) Bernard Hopkins (semi-retired and not likely to face the young light heavyweight lions, Hopkins is still an elite fighter as far as skills go. Doesn't have many options, and after a lackluster win over a completely faded and gun shy Roy Jones Jr, he isn't going to get a shot at heavyweight title holder David Haye. Just retire Bernard.)

9) Andre Ward (The future of the sport. He's already drawing comparisons to Sugar Ray Leonard and Roy Jones Jr. The 2004 Gold medalist routed Mikkel Kessler for a belt, than dominated Allan Green in his last fight. His next Super 6 fight against fellow Olympian Andre Dirrell will be the true test for both.

10) Timothy Bradley (the best of a deep division of young killers. He didn't look special against at welterweight, but he won easily and 147 isn't his normal weight! Among the 140 lbers, Bradley holds the edge over Alexander, Khan, and Maidana in experience and skills, but all those fights would be barnburners...bring'em on!

 

So, do you think, after his defeat to Pascal, Dawson's still number three? If not, where do you rank him? And would Klitschko and the others move up your list?
