Hey now. Calzaghe beat B-hop who beat Pavlik. He also beat Kessler, who still is a top level fighter even on the downside. Calzaghe was also at the tail end of his career when he fought both men.

I have seen the whole fight. I respect Froch, I don't dislike him. When I picture fights in my head I can never, ever see how Froch will win a fight. Good for him for proving me wrong all but twice(Dirrell beat his ass).

You don't need this result to think Joe would beat Dawson, unless Chad knocks him out which is very very unlikely. Joe, was never a light heavy though, he fought there only very late.

omg  here we go with the calzaghe hypothetical threads. we can start one every time a fighter finally loses. the reason there are threads like these is because calzaghe's resume is pitiful. i see we can put down dawson for fighting old johnson and tarver but joe gets credit for fighting old bhop and jones. i always thought that calzaghe would have had a good shot vs dawson but there's no way calzaghe would have taken that chance.

Chad doesn't like constant pressure, and Calzaghe brings that for all 12 rounds with no lapses and superior conditioning.

It's not a good fight for Dawson, and never would've been.

Calzaghe would have beaten Dawson, no doubt about it. Dawson likes to fight old fighters.
