So basically another Calzaghe slaps his way to victory type of thing?

I agree that a focused Calzaghe would have made Dawson look bad. Too good, too busy and too much stamina to top it off.

You forgot the part where Calzaghe punches like a 7 year old girl. Calzaghe couldnt even drop a shot Roy Jones. Pascal is a better fighter than Calzaghe

Calzaghe never had to punch hard. He still forced people to shell up with JUST his slaps. Just by having a stronger punch, you don't automatically become the better fighter.

    Just ask Ji-Hoon Kim.

The longer Calzaghe stays retired his legacy grows! Joe beats Ward too.

Does Pascal get legitly dropped in the first round by 40 year old Roy Jones?

Pascal would not only not loose a 10-8 round he would also knock out 40 year old Roy Jones.

Would that make him a better fighter than Calzaghe? Arguably not. Would that make his skills better than Calzaghe's? Would power always make another fighter better than his peer?

If you believe that, then we shouldn't have had Mayweather fight Mosley at all, since Mosley's the serious hard puncher of the two.

EDIT: By the way, had Calzaghe not been careless in that first round, it's possible that he would never have lost a round at all.

I think real fans knew all along that Calzaghe would have put Dawson into a shell and totally beaten him, then we would have heard the same comments abou Lacy now.
Still its proven beyond doubt what real fans knew.
America was just reaching because many biased fans cant accept that Calzaghe never got beat, and that he beat Hopkins and Jones. The honest fans just appreciate a great fighter.
Still now the silly Dawson talk will stop and the silly Andre Fraud talk will start until he gets exposed

Let's see -- dawson is a highly ranked fighter in his prime:think

Slappy Joe wouldn't go near the guy.
