By the skin of his teeth, the controversy surrounding it makes the loss seem not as bad.

But it wasn't the chad we all know and love who fought tonight/this morning.

only fools had him in their top 10 to start with. when are americans gonna learn that beating shite like johnson and tarver means nothing significant.

I didn't think he was top 10 in the first place, although close to it.
    Now he surely isn't.

did he dererve a top 10 place anyway? Some people had him at 3rd (ive seen one person with him at 2), or around that area, what has he done to get to 3rd in some p4p lists? Many people had Joe Calzaghe at his highest at number 3! Has Chad really accomplished as much to be in that same spot? or is it another case of the great american hypejob? i think we found out last night

You forgot about beating Adamek and also the fact that a lot of fighters today (although talented) have some lacking resumes themselves. Id still rank Dawson around 15 no lower than 20.

The Adamek win is a good name on his record but doesn't tell the whole story. The fact that Adamek went straight to Cruiser, looked very comfortable, and is now fighting at HW and in good shape shows that he had no business fighting at 175 at that time.

Still I'd agree that he might be top 20 based on record alone to date, but there a lot of factors to be taken into account when looking at his opponents.

Dawson has a very good resume, but didnt beat a single good boxer near his prime. Pascal could have been the first one, but it ended that was too much for Dawson.

I wouldn't have a problem with him still being in the 8-10 region. But also I'm very bitter about my vCash so if you want to ban him from top ten until he earns future HOF status, that's fine too.

    No. He ain't. He's a top 20 at best.
Bute, Kessler, adamek, dirrell, ward, froch, pascal are all above this hbo hype job.
He needs a tarver rubber match. He can win that fight.
