Is Pascal's Victory a Blueprint for Pac to Defeat Mayweather?

That's all good and well. But please tell me what you don't agree with? What makes you think Pac can do what Pascal did and what have I ommitted? Is Pac not hittable? Is May not great at long-range? Do you think Mayweather would be fooled like I heard Dawson was?

The only thing I can see is Roach's opinion about Floyd-s declining feet. I incidentally don't agree with that observation, but if Pac can get around him the long range strategy could have some merit. But I warn you, even if Mayweather's feet are slowing down - he's no Cotto. He's sharper and quicker in thought.

 

Pascal is a good fighter. But looks like Dawson lost the fight to me rather then Pascal wining it. I would favor Dawson for the rematch. As for the blue print. Pacquiao fights every sec of every round, and floyd altough has safty first in mind can chage it up to the aggressor as you can see in the mosley fight.

 

I like dwyer but dude is on something thinking Dawson was the best in boxing, smg @ dwyer!!

Pac doen't need Pascal's blueprint. Pac's usual way of fighting would give Mayweather fits.

 

Pac's gonna feint Mayweather to death. Floyd will be eating left hands all night.

Dawson can't fight moving forward. That's why he got schooled. When Zab tried to counter floyd and fight on the outside, Roger told Floyd to attack and he did with success.

 

Pac will throw punches at Void without stopping and from all angles. He will jump on Void and Void will imitate the chicken in the Rocky movie.

Pascal style is comparable to pac. I've heard it all now.

Some of you guys on here trying to make the comparison are trying way to hard to make yourself remotely believable.

 

It's not THAT far of a reach. As has been said before, two boxers with similar styles and dimensions but with layers of talent and cleverness peeled away. It's a rough sketch of a possible way May/Pac could play out. It's not impossible to imagine Pacquiao trying to overwhelm Floyd with confusing flurries darting in and out trying to neutralize his defensive counter-punching.

Creating angles and outworking floyd is most likely what Pacquiao should do, at least in the first half. I think Mayweather will adjust with a high-guard come-foward adjustment trying to switch his advantages to offensive neutralization of Pacquiao's aggression, as he did with southpaw Judah and Mosley after getting hurt. By Pac feinting him and forcing Floyd to open up (if even for a few moments), he will catch him and in fact begin to counter Floyd's own over-reaching offense and counters which Roach will have predicted. That is, if May ever comes back from vacation.

Pascal is no Pac and Dawson is no Floyd, but the dynamics between the two aren't exactly worlds apart.
