I think Diaconu is really under rated. Very hard puncher with a tough chin and decent hand speed. Would give Chad a very good fight

 

Look at Diaconu's KO rate clown. Hard puncher lol. He has a lower KO % then either Chad Dawson or Jean Pascal.\

And Pascal would box the **** out of Tavoris Cloud.

 

Hmm... i was just going off the fights i had seen him in but your right, his KO % is very low. I didn't realise this. But i still think he would be a good challenge for Dawson

KO% doesn't tell the whole story of a hard puncher. Calzaghe's KO% is higher then Pac's, doesn't make him a harder puncher than Pac. If I really have to choose, I'd rather have Joe punch/slap me in the face than Pac

 

he had to rematch tarver, it was in the contract. as for cloud, jeezus, give it time, cloud has only had 1 defence. bt ye if by ducking you mean turning down a mandatory to fight a current champ, then yes you are right.

 

Certainly not with Big Sugar. His KO% would be 100 if he was as mean and reckless as Vitali, that's for sure.

 

Dawson fighting Diaconu or Cloud 1 or 2 years ago wouldn't have made sense for his career and the people who know ANY ****ING THING AT ALL about how the boxing business works can see it...

 

cloud recently squeaked by w/ a narrow win against glen johnson. The same glen johnson chad beat twice, including a dominating performence in the second bout. Cloud is mostly unknow and is not a big $ fight. You can't blame chad for trying to get the big names to fight him. In my opinion he deserved a fight w/ ( and most likely would have beaten) Bhop, RJJ, and calzage. In which case he's be considered one of the top P4P guys.

 

This would be an opportune time for Dawson to fight Diacanu now,on the undercard of Pascal's next defense.Diaconu would outhustle Dawson much like Pascal if Dawson fights another safety first style.

You beat me to it. Was quite baffled about the term neutral fans myself.

 

a few points.

1- Diaconu had to postpone the fight because of an injury. If he didn't postpone the fight, Dawson would have fought him.

2- Even Diaconu's trainer said on the radio that he understood why Dawson would opt to fight Antonio Tarver instead of Diaconu. He said that boxing is a business and that he didn't believe Dawson was scared of Diaconu.
