I was gonna say him but his situation is past hated if you wanna put somewhat modern fighters in the hated catagory. Feelings toward him were sinister to say the least.

Ali, and it's not even close. I don't think younger fans who did not live through the era really appreciate the fact that Ali was about as beloved as the Black Panthers.

Probably Wlad K. He is hated like the Nazi's, and he shouldn't be because of his style.
Mike Tyson was the most hated retired fighter, but James Toney is catching up fast lol...

It blows my freekin' mind that that average age of poster here is 25 years old and can't see past their own peckers....choosing anyone in the last 5 minutes of fame instead of Muhammad Ali.
    Go change your diaper!

Maybe Ezzard Charles wasen't exactly hated when he was fighting but he never got anywhere the respect he deserved. Now you'd be hard to find any reputable pound for pound ranking on the classic forum that doesn't have him in the top 10.

I get nervous when you and I come close to agreeing on anything, Bernie. I'd also add, Tommy Burns was pretty shat upon for fighting Johnson.

Youre partly right, Jones & Mayweatherare indeed incredibly talented boxers BUT that alone does not make them ATG's BOTH are/were guilty of ducking every dangerous opponent during their careers.
Very talented fighter but unfortunately they had the heart of the cowardly lion & the balls of a gnat

Lennox Lewis was always getting boooooeedd everytime he fought in america and i used to hate on him back then. Now he gets a lot of respect especially now that the heavyweight division has become a joke.
