    Evander Holyfield, the 48-year-old former heavyweight world champion, is to make yet another comeback, this time against Sherman ''The Tank'' Williamson, most likely in Detroit, on November 5. Holyfield, in his 26th year of boxing, will aim to defeat Williams as a precursor for an intended tilt at Vitali Klitschko, the World Boxing Council champion.

    Few in the boxing world believe the once great exponent should still be fighting. Holyfield - 43 wins, 10 losses, two draws - last fought Francois Botha on April 10 in Las Vegas when he claimed a minor title. It was his first contest since losing to Nikolai Valuev in a controversial decision in December 2008.

    George was 45 when he 'invented' the grill in 1994 Sally. At 48 Holly might be too old then.

    last fight, williams got beaten by a bloke (Manuel Charr) that took 10 rounds to stop beck.......alex done it in 6.

    i give holyfield a chance.

    yes. why not. thats what holyfield is. he is a warrior. let him fight. he will be lost without it.

    brain cells...? well, he never was going to be a rocket scientist. but no one wants to see him hurt.

    but if he passes medicals, and refs keep an eye on him, and he doesnt get over matched, let him fight!!!

    they sent 17 year olds 'over the top' to get slaughtered by machine guns.......so why cant holyfield fight?

    The bloke will be dead in 10 years. There's only so much 'roid abuse a heart, liver and kidneys can absorb.... May as well let him fight until he colapses.

    yep.


    so many fighters have killed themselves in inglorious circumstances, by retiring too early, and went on to live hard on drugs or alcohol, when they could have had a reason to stay fit, still have kept fighting, and earned a quid. health is bettter than legacy....

    at least evander has the chance to get matched .......till he knows its the end.....

    Commander Vander should not be allowed to fight...period....and sallywinder has got the hide to go around callin' people dickheads...:huh
