Not many American fighters can win big fights abroad anymore

Why are these eurocrakkas worried about american fighters? What the ****? don't worry, these eurofgas would eventually lose.

 

Well lets put it this way. German Promotion and judging seems a bit corrupt, so you're not going to win a fight there unless you sign with the German promoter, Sauerland.

Montreal is probably one of the toughest towns in boxing if you are a foreigner and you are fighting one of their fighters. They are loud and really get on the side of their hometown guy.

Who really fights in Russia unless you're going there to lose!

England...well, I don't think you see too much boxing there, so who has lost there recently.

As for Cunningham...yes, he won, but did he beat Troy Ross...I don't think so. Troy knocked him down, then Cunningham thumbs Ross to end the fight. Instead of it going to the scorecards, they call it by RSC. Cunningham was smart as he signed with Sauerland and boxes in Germany!

 

Oh yes...as for Pascal. Yes, he was born in Haiti, but came to Canada at the age of 4. He learned how to box in Canada and represented them at the 2004 Olympics. I think he is pretty much Canadian!

if fighters did a bit more actual fighting they would: a, fight away from home a little more. b, once in a while lose without it being such a massive deal.

 

Its not easy winning big fights abroad for anyone and im sure there are lots of fights that have taken place in america and abroad where there would have been a different outcome if the fight was somewhere else. Having said that its pretty handy having to sit at home and have all or the majority of your opponents coming to you, nice bonus:good

 

Lol...have you considered that there are other variables that factor into this equation. Such as the "Best" American fighters don't travel abroad because the money for a fighter is in America and if they are the best fighter in the fight they probably don't have to travel. Along those lines, European fighters (other than Pascal and Froch) that are good enough to force a good American fighter to travel are typically in the upper tier of their class, hence it's going to typically be in favor of the foreign fighter. Either way, there are far more European fighters who have been destroyed coming to America than there are American fighters who were beated abroad.
