I totally agree with you. Alexander had an off night on Saturday. It almost reminded of when Tyson faced Buster Douglas.

Alexander was clearly looking ahead to fighting Bradley, almost the same way Tyson was looking ahead to fight Holyfield.

Unlike Tyson, though, Alexander found a way to survive 12 rounds, and win the fight. I still don't know how he did it, but it just shows the heart and determination of Alexander.

What the hell are you talking about?

Its a well documented fact. That Tyson lost to Douglas because his ass didn't train for the fight. All he did in Japan was get wasted and bang hookers leading up to fight night. The only thing he was looking ahead to during his fight with Douglas was the afterparty.

Alexander was trained and ready for the fight. He was just exposed.

I disagree. Alexander will easily beat Tim Bradley.

 This coming from the same guy who said the only reason Tyson lost to Douglas. Was because he was looking ahead to Holyfield.

I never said that was the only reason Tyson lost to Douglas. There are many other reasons why, but his looking ahead to Holyfield was a big one.

ESPN.com had a very nice article six months ago, explaining five other reasons. Here it is: http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=4903834

A few years back when Pac was fighting at 126-130 lbs, I thought he would be done at age 30. Pac, however, kept on improving in every fight and apparently hasn't reached his peak, so, I thought that 4 years may not be too long a period for him to maintain his level. On the second thought, I failed to consider that he would be too busy doing his role as congressman.

In 2014 Lomachenko moves up to 140 after winning a belt at 130 & 135 and KO's Alexander inside 5 rounds.

don't you ****en compare tyson to devon again. tyson before his loss to Buster looked like a heavyweight ATG and everyone was wondering if ever a prime Ali could stand up to him.

Devon before he got exposed by Kotelnik looked like a hypejob who's gonna get blown the moment he steps up in class

On what planet? Definitely not on this one :)

Dude, Lomachenko hasn't even turned pro yet. By 2014, Alexander will be P4P Top 3 easily. Besides, Alexander will have already cleaned out 140, and moved up to either 147 or 154 by then!

    a big one?

Please stop, your making yourself look even more stupid.

How is that a big reason?

First off Tyson was the star,He was the champion,The top dog, the top draw, etc. Why the hell would he be looking ahead to a challenger? Tyson didn't even care about boxing at this point. If he did he would have never lost to Douglas. And had Don King not been a greedy *******. He would have retired at that point.

Plus how is that reason bigger than not coming into the fight in shape and motivated?

Here's a hint, why don't you watch the actual fight. Instead of reading ESPN articles.

Tyson was clearly winded after the first round against Douglas. His punch count was dropping round by round. A clear sign he was outta shape. Another sign was his non existent defense. Even though Tyson was one of the hardest guys to hit. In his best years.
