Ward is dirty SOB, ugly style as it can be but he would beat Kessler again with or with out head butts.
i agree ward can be a bit rough kessler has no chance against him.the rematch would be easier.what can he do different?ward is getting better skill-wise and stronger
Depends if Ward fights in his front room with his brother, sister, and cousin as judges again. If he gets over the agorophobia and ventures outside his house he might find out that headbutting isn't allowed in most boxing rings. Kessler beats him silly in Denmark and Ward crys like Andre "the cheat" Direll
Kessler looked like a mutant in his alleged win against Froch. Ward is only getting better, and Kessler hasn't made any changes, except he was more willing to take punishment against Froch. Kessler may not even get passed Green.
Maybe you would understand what I'm trying to say if you learned how to read... Kessler couldn't see **** from the fifth round and on... Blood was running down in his right eye because Ward chose to throw an "unintentional" headbutt... Wards weak chin is getting exposed in a rematch :yep
Kessler-Ward is almost a toss up fight. The reason people are hyping Ward beyond limits is that he was an extreme underdog in their first fight. Afterwards he has beaten Green handily - but who the f... is Green? Kessler got some nasty cuts in that fight - dont say that it wasnt a decisive part of that fight. It was. Kessler and Ward are to me easyily the best at 168. Much depends on where the fight is held - whos the ref and judges etc. But Ward is my favourite - 60 - 40 or so as Kessler is getting old.
You make it sound as if the fight was close until the cut, it wasn't even competitive. Even without the head butt Kessler got totally schooled fair and square.
Once again you display your below average reading skills... I made it pretty clear in my first post that I thought Ward was the more dominating boxer in the early rounds... But to say it wasn't even competitive makes you look like damn fool. :good
The Kessler -Ward fight was one of the worst fights I have ever seen. Ward was extremely dirty and the ref didn't do anything about it. Same treatment that Miranda received in Oakland. Kessler does seem to be slowing down a bit but Ward has been over-hyped. If the fight is not in Oakland, Kessler has a good chance.
If Kessler and Froch had a rematch, i would pick Froch to win. If the fiirst fight would have been an old 15 rounder, Froch would have stopped him IMO. Kessler also loses again to Ward. Wide UD
I can read perfectly fine thank you. What you said was: and Both of these statements couldn't be further from the truth. Ward was not at all tired when the fight was stopped, which was near the end of the eleventh round with a totally confused and dejected Kessler, having lost nearly every round, beaten to a bloody mess. To say that Ward was tired and that Kessler would have finished the stronger when he was miles behind on the cards, bloodied and confused with only 4 minutes of the fight remaining, does not make me look like the one who's a damn fool:good
That fight was so one-sided, I fail to see how home turf had anything to do with the end result. The judges played no part, but I do agree that though Ward is easily one of the 3 best SMW's in the world, his hype exceeds his resume at this point.
Unless Kessler looks amazing in his first semi-final match (looking amazing against the non-entity Allan Green won't mean anything...if he doesn't look amazing he should retire) and/or Ward finally looks vulnerable against Dirrell or not long after...then I will never like the idea of a rematch as a Kessler fan. If they meet in the finals and it's the Kessler of the Froch fight and the Ward we've been seeing - Kessler will be lucky to have the second loss be on points.
