No.. STUPID post. I don't see why everyone keeps pointing to the Tarver fight in a thread about a prime RJJ. Is it not blindingly obvious to your average ****** that RJJ was past his prime, WELL past his prime, in those fights?

This shouldn't even be up for debate. Roy clowns and stops him. If Dawson thought Pascal was fast and unpredictable then he has no chance with a prime Jones.

i remember rushing home from work to catch Jones vs Woods. Clinton got ****in killed, but the guy was a solid lhw. IMO Dawson isnt any better than Woods, just decent not elite. RJJ by ko 2-4.

After watching Chad get gun shy against Pascal...I think he will be even more defensive against Roy...Roy would piece him up and I think KO him in 7 rounds...A prime Roy would be too much for my guy Chad.

Chad needs to realize you gotta throw in order to win...Roy is all wrong for Chad!

Titles don't mean all that much.... the two best fighters in the division fought.. I remember they did drop the titles, but who cares, the crown Tarver wore into the ring was the true title. Johnson was the true LHW champ for a short period in my opinion. That lineal title was garbage, still is.

I don't think RJJ would stop him, but I definitely think he'd humiliate him in 12.

Simply put, Roy cannot be touched in his prime by 95%, maybe even more of all the greatest middleweights. The only one springs to mind that wouldn't play that crap is Hagler. I think Roy'd humiliate a Hopkins of any age. Thing about Hopkins is he turns into a right spoilt brat when he doesn't get things his own way. He would not get things his own way against Jones Jr. I'd like to see De La Hoya vs. Jones Jr. too.

Prime Roy Jones Jr would destroy Dawson. Dawson is too ****ing complacent, he would be so much better if he was more aggressive. His last performance was a ****ing shame.

    Not even debatable.
    RJJ by humiliation.

the jones that fought clinton woulds would probably stop dawson(lets remember the might eric harding had dawson in trouble). the jones that fought tarver in the first fight would probably outpoint dawson. any jones from then on loses badly.

You make a good point except for one small honest fact. The Ring belt which is what they were fighting for isnt where it should be in the LHW division. The Ring LHW belt vanished in the 80s and when it reappeared back in circulation in the 90s it was just handed to R Jones Jnr. But if the Ring rule of you have to be the man to be the man then Michalczewski should have been given the belt for his win over V Hill, as that is how the LHW line ran from when the belt was first in circulation. Which would now make Erdei the true Ring champ
