This is just stupid. So he doesn't want to fight Pac because of taxes?? Great excuse. What difference will next year make? He's gonna get taxed either way. Just a bs excuse it sounds like to me.

Well, your expert opinion left out that Obama is putting that cap at 28% in 2011. Ask the the Salvation Army or Catholic Charities they know they're going to take a big HIT next year. It still doesn't hide the fact that Floyd Jr. will still have to pay 4.5% more next year than this year. If it was based on a financial decision...It was stupid... :hey

Fine, duly noted...you're a typographer. Now, was Floyd Sr's argument that it was a financial decision for not having the fight this year a good or bad point??? :hi:

This has already been dicussed, it will still be better financially to push the fight until next year.

Rather than taxes on over $100 Million being due in early 2012, it will spread what needs to be paid over to 2013 and possibly even some of it into 2014 (since PPV money doesn't come in all at once, it trickles in over time). So some of the tax cuts expire, if he properly invests, he can easily make up the difference. Ever hear the term, a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow? This is a perfect example, by prolonging when he pays the government, he has time to make investments and capitalize on his money before giving some of it over to the Government. Of course, this is assuming Floyd has a smart financial advisor who will help him make wise investments.

The second part is PPV sales generally do better in May than in November. In November most households are more carefull with their spending because of the Holidays. By pushing it over to May, PPV sales will surely go up; especially since many people would have already received their income tax returns. This alone could offset the expiration of the tax cuts.

    :huh

Your assuming many different variables... the facts are rich people hide there money in other investments all the time. Here's another fact next year they'll be dealing with another 4.5% in taxes as opposed to this year. He could do the exact same thing you're talking about this year with 4.5% less in tax liability. Please this is a no brainer. Companies around the US are claiming all the income they can now, because they know they're going to get hit next year.

As far as you claiming May will be better than November, in a fight that is estimated to break all time records, where are the numbers you base this on? I'd like to look at them. In November more people tend to stay home as opposed to May when the weather is better around the country. And as far as financial conditions go 2011 is forecasted to be a worse year than 2010. :deal

As I have posted so many times on these kinds of threads....I have never seen so many posters that have such a hatred for Mayweather, but spend an unusual amount of time reading and posting any and every possible thing about his life and/or the life of people around him. Kind of Sad...REALLY IT IS!!!!

Why is my pointing out the inconsistencies of Mayweather's actions vs. rhetoric, considered to be something as strong as hate. As I keep saying I don't know the man, so if I was to hang out with him, it would be fair to say that I actually might like him on a personal level. Hell, I offered to be his financial adviser and save him $2 million dollars. I wouldn't work for anybody that I hate.

You accusing me of some "hate" just proves how empty your arguments are. This man has bragged about himself and at the same time has tried to hurt the reputation of a boxer that hasn't done a damn thing to him. Daryl1914 you might ask the Pretty One why he HATES Pacquiao so much... :good

All I know is thAt if I don't like floyd mayweather, I'm not gonna spend my time creating posts critiquing everything he does. I'm going to focus on the people I do like.
