Wlad back then, was much more offensive. He would go for it early. I think it would have probably looked like Hearns vs Hagler but heavyweight style. Remember, both Lewis and Wlad can punch, so I could easily see both of them going down, getting up, going down...etc. Basically, it would become a stamina war or a war of respect. Lewis was a great puncher, but I recall in both his fights against Holyfield that he never put him down. Yet Holyfield was down against Moorer, Bean, Toney, and a few other guys. So maybe Lewis didn't hit as hard as we all think, or he himself had stamina issues that he disguised ala Wlad with long 12 round decisions decided by his long jab. The world will never know.
Wlad would have stopped him in about 30 seconds. Why do you thinnk Lennox ducked him? Wlad hit harder and faster, and would have beat him to the punch, and we all know it only takes one good punch for Wlad to end a fight. Lennox picked Vitali, who had less handspeed than Wlad. Wlad will always be underestimated because the two top fighters ducked him (Lennox and Vitali), and those would have been Wlad's two signature wins. It's like taking Sonny Liston and George Foreman off of Ali's fight record.
:heyrofl good one.... This version of Wlad is scared to throw anything other than a jab against non punchers with no reach or jab like Chambers. Lennox Lewis would match the jab and follow it up with a right hand and the second a Lewis right hand hits that chin it is good night. If Wlad is too cautious to throw a right hand against non punchers i don't see him being more aggressive against a puncher like Lewis who had a longer reach and an equally good jab and better variety to his boxing but most importantly a heart and willingness to throw punches
How can you be so sure. Against this current crop of 6 foot 3 boxers he won't because his boxing style is all about nullifying his opponent with his height and reach. Against Lewis he would be fighting a guy just as tall with a bigger reach who will throw more punches
Lewis is all round a better fighter who would take away Wlads biggest advantages. Wlad isn't a better boxer, doesn't have a better reach, equal in the jab department, defence is equal but LL is prone to throwing more shots in a bout.... I can't see How Wlads jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, jab, clinch, jab jab right hand style would pose LL any problems.... the only fighters that ever posed LL problems were the ones that pressured him and traded... an upright fighter with very little punch output would get out boxed and stopped
