Aside from the poor opponent [Morrison] it's fantastic to see RTE restate it's interest in the sport again with two shows in three weeks. And the word is there is possibly another two RTE fightnights by year ending. That along with Setantas boxing rebirth and SKYs extra investment makes for some exciting times ahead for Irish fans.:hammertime:bananamaniac:dance:clown:freddy:mj:lama

    "MURRAY STEPS UP"

Cant see it myself to be honest. Nolasco hasnt had a meaningful win in over five years. Is he anymore threatening than Rasilla, McDonagh or ***an? Shades of Thiam to be honest.

Murray must be in serious danger of being our next "most protected fighter" You just gotta look at his 21 wins. At least McCloskey stepped in at a weeks notice to beat Lynes in his back yard. Anyone else think Andy is waiting around to see if John Murray is going to vacate? Read somewhere that J Murray was on the verge of a title eliminator. Might have been in Tuesdays Irish News

Morrison's a rubbish opponent but I think people here are underestimating Nolasco. Here's brief highlights of the Litzau fight.

Of course you would like to see him more active but if he's anything like he was against Litzau Murray could be in for a hard night.

Yeah. You would have to be hopefull of Murray winning inside the distance. Someone, Paddy I think, mentioned Murray v Nigel Wright. That would be a tougher fight; if Wright could get down around 135. Murray needs tougher tests if hes going to step up to Euro level.
