Look the plain fact is if Ward gets his way he has a clear advantage and an unfair one at that since he hasn't travelled abroad. A true, god fearing man like he claims to be would be just on this issue of a neutral venue.

If Dirrell looses his career - and all his future income - go down the pan. Two losses so early in a career? he'd be the next Glen John / Kotelnik - a gatekeeper. Dirrell can pull out, get a fine or whatever and still go on to make more money by not loosing to Ward in unfair judging and refereeing.

This is a man's career we're talking about here & imho Ward & Goosen need to be fair about this. Besides - key point: if Ward thinks he can win why not have it on neutral ground?

look at the end of the day, my understanding, was that all the fighters fees were agreed before they signed.

To be totally honest Dirrell is no great loss, he would have been beaten by Ward and eliminated imo, then he needs to rebuild.

The **** comes with the glory, thing is though Dirrell isn't man enough to take the ****!

I agree the fight should be in neutral grounds. There's no reason why it shouldn't.

I dont know if Ward has a problem with fighting on neutral ground but it seems the fight can only sell in Oakland.

I love both fighters but Ward needs to relize that this isn't Burger King, he can't have it his way all of the time. He already fought the last stage without leaving Oakland which was a loophole he toke advantage of but he can't think he'll fight in Oakland the rest of the tournament. Being a fighter you have to overcome adversity.

I highly doubt that. I'd bet it could make just as much money in Montreal.

Kessler is a bigger draw in denmark then Ward is in oakland but yet that fight was in oakland.

No one is justified in pulling out of the tournament considering all of them signed the contract.

No one is justified in changing the rules or venue either, for that matter. This should've been taken care of before the tournament began and everyone should of agreed. Boxing is full of ****s who decide to do it their own way, and its ruining this sport. There's no union in boxing anymore, its all about greed and wanting things their own way. It's pathetic.

Yep. Before this tournament started I thought it was. I agree it should've been decided before the tournament so these kind of disputes wouldn't happen and the fans could see ALL of S6 without all this crap inbetween.

what should have happened was one fighters gets a gurantee of one fight at home, one fight away and then one fight on netural ground.

Instead we have the likes people bitching before the thing started that Ward was fighting his 1st 3 fights on home ground and two fighters bitching about withdrawing if they were forced to fight in another fighers back yard.

Exactly. See how an ESB poster cracks it and the promoters and tournament makers are unable to scramble together a simple fix for a posable tournament? Ego's, man, they ruin everything.

Dirrell should pull out! He can't beat Ward so if he losses he is out..Better to get a few more fights under your belt, fight for the WBO title for example then fight Ward or Bute for alot more money. A loss to Ward and this guy is done..
