I wish people would cut the bull**** about the Margarito/Cotto fight. The fact that so many posters simply refuse to arm themselves with the facts before posting tells me a lot about the quality of boxing knowledge on ESB. The fact that they ignore the Nevada rules everytime someone sets them forth tells me a lot about the integrity of the posters referenced above.
I stayed pretty quiet on the subject until I sat here and watched a good portion of that farcical hearing the other day. That was an old fashion kangaroo court. Tony never had a chance, and I think that had a lot more to do with the fact that he has a law suit pending against the CSAC than it has to do with any sort of search for the truth. If they cleared him to fight, that would strengthen his law suit. End of story.
can you believe till this day people are still saying "IF THE CSAC WAS SO WRONG, WHY ISN'T MARGO SUEING THEM" that proves to you/us that most these clowns aint even following up with the case....therefore shouldn't ****en speak on it to me that's some *****-made ****...
That makes you wonder about the foresight and level of competency of Margo's lawyer. I believe it's the same guy who's handling Manny's lawsuit.
The fact that the NSAC supplies their own gauze and tape to wrap hands? So there is no chance that the tampered pads could have been slipped in somehow? Seems a little ignorant to me. Please enlighten me; do you strip search all members of the fighers team prior to building entry? Is someone watching the entire process and/or if something is added into the bag? What type of evidence supports this? You're the one who continues to claim that the pads only contained sweat and sulfer despite strong evidence to the contrary. Even Margo himself acknowledges that Mosley could have been harmed if he was allowed to fight with the tampered pads. Would he admit that if there was only sweat and sulfer? There are a lot of holes and uncertainties but it's clear that Margo is in no way, shape or form to be trusted. Again, it's ignorant to believe that Mosley was his first attempt to cheat.
Tony's legal team sucks. What he has needed all along is a good criminal defense attorney. Even though California is not pursuing criminal charges, Margo needed a good attack dog that knew how to strategize.
NSAC has stated that they do search bags and everything brought into the building...especially in a high profile fight....i believe keith said it
The reason why trainers and most fighters are in favor of a second chance for Margarito is because they know about the competition tactics in not only boxing but sports in general.I know there are alot of naive sports "fans" but sports are be a dirty buisness. Trinidad came under suspision but got lucky. Great fighters like Jones jr, Mosley, Vargas have been caught, but do you realy think their the only ones. In that Resto documantary a highly regarded fighter comes into suspision as well...Aron Prayor, and if you saw his second Arguello fight it makes alot of sense.Like it or not these dirty tactics and illegal substances are a part of sports.
Ninety percent of what you just said is specualtion. Speculation is not evidence, nor is it allowed in a court of law. Calcium and sulfur occur naturally in human sweat and human blood. If there ever comes a time when your sweat and blood do not contain calcium and sulfur, you will die. That is a physiological fact. The state of California has not pursued criminal charges because their so called "evidence" would be laughed out of court. Yet fools who call themselves boxing fans support decisions made by a kangaroo court. The CSAC made their ruling BEFORE the lab tests were done. Next they said they would stand by their ruling NO MATTER WHAT the lab tests revealed. Next the lab wrote a report designed to conform with the CSAC ruling. Next they refused to allow Margarito's team to obtain independent lab testing. This thing was a complete sham from beginning to end.
When you make a ruling w/o any evidence, and then state you will not change your ruling no matter what, then go on to refuse the defendant the right to "defend" himself... what sort of justice is that, PBFred?
that's what i've been saying bro since day ****en 1 these clowns think boxing is clean for the most part ****en hopkins himself said "i'm gonna let you in on a little secret, if you dip your wrapped hands in ice water it makes the impact of you punch much harder BUT IT'S ONLY CHEATING IF YOU GET CAUGHT" you add that with him being one of the dirtiest fighters in the ring ever, and what do you have....a possible ****en cheater fighters for the most part are innocent though, sort of like little kids that get talked into doing bad things by others.....promoters, trainers etc etc are the real ****en villains for the most part..... i mean, just look at resto....a grown ass man that pretty much got punked by his team into doing something negative...and years later sill acts like a ****en child and pretty much got put in place by panama lewis :-(
i know...especially when the people you're arguing with are the same people that are gonna make the decision.....:---(
