I would be shocked if he didn't make it in. Championship record aside, if you had to name 20 of the most exciting fights that have ever taken place in a ring Gatti would probably appear in more of them than anyone else.

The first three words of the first post were "what active fighters." And then post after post of retired or dead guys.

    Only on ESB:patsch

  12. Vitali klitchko currently, i doubt he will get in too many injuries, plus he's overshadowed by his kid brother had a better career :huh but will always be remembered by his classic bout with lewis....

Past- Billy Conn, will always be remembered by the fight he was winning against the great Louis but blew it...

The boxing HOF is too damn easy to get into, it should be more like other sports where only the best of the best get in...

I actually think Tapia is pretty close to a lock to get in the Hall.

A few others not yet mentioned:
    James Butler
    Tony Galento
    Ike Ibeabuchi
    Leon Spinks
    Chico Corrales
    Jorge Paez

Mickey Ward might be the best example of recent days. Emmanuel Augustus is obviously also a good one.

Edit: didn't notice the OP said active fighters. In that case, it's just hard to tell. Guys early in their careers still have a shot, I guess.

As an answer to a trivia question regarding Manny Pacquiao's career.
