Love the guy. After watching him on 24/7 and seeing what he is about thru interviews I began rooting for him. He was way overhyped and robbed some legends of big fights/ (Hopkins never should have lost his belt he defended the most times in middleweight history. Taylor should have had to drag Hopkins out of the ring to earn one there and the draw against Winky Wright was borderline criminal.
Very good fighter I bet on Hopkins against Taylor, but I knew he lost the fight. To me, that was not a robbery. However, Hopkins beat him so bad the last 4 rounds I knew that prime for prime Hopkins would smoke Taylor.
Wow for real? Interesting. You think he still lost and you bet him. I watched that fight over 5 full times. I kept getting Hopkins 7-5 everytime
He always had a little of the southern gentleman in him. Class guy and good fighter but always looked a little frail for some reason.
He almost falls asleep in the ring. Every time he got hurt it was from a slight 2 sec lapse he had in the ring. That was his downfall. The froch fight I was really pulling for him. That was really sad to see him go out like that.
Jermain with nominal ring IQ and better stamina would have been an all time great. If he had stayed with Pat Burns, his reign as middleweight champion would have been very different in my opinion.
He never had a 24/7 did he? I know he was on Fight Camp of course and had a few Countdowns with Hops & Pav but I don't think he had a 24/7. Great guy, Very good fighter.
Average fighter. Controversial decision against a not very good Welterweight in Leon Spinks. Draw with another welterweight in Winky Wright. He was never that good. Got lucky to catch a fading Bhop where he did who probably shouldnt have been fighting at middleweight anymore, and even those fights were controversial.
