Winky has one of the best chins in recent history. He had some nice wins and some close losses as well. How do you rate him?

****in Jermain Taylor (Lou Dibella fighter) took two decisions he clearly lost - Hopkins 1 and against Wright. Those should be reversed. He got a draw i think against Wright and Winky won that fight 100%. That **** bothers me. These are legends.

As odd as it sounds considering his accomplishments, I think there's always going to be a "what if" attitude towards Wright because of how long it took him to get his breaks, and his subsequent matchmaking (or lack of it) once he really burst on the world scene.

Excellent fighter, and I have no doubt he'll still be remembered as such.

boxing's version of a porcupine-you couldn't get close without paying for it. he had a hard jab and would have been a tough fight for anybody.

Technically one of the best. I hated his turtleshell defence (made him boring to watch) but damn that was real effective, he was not always the most exciting fighter but he's really good at what he does. In his prime, he was definitely P4P material. He will be seen as an ATG and his induction in IBHOF won't be questioned!!

Winky achieved world class level in about 6 years, and stayed at world class level for approximately 11 years (from the first McKart fight thru the Hopkins fight.) In a sport where the vast majority never even sniff a world title, and those who do reach the top often last about as long as a fart in the wind, that's a hell of an accomplishement.

I like Marlon Starling better. But back to the topic, yeah he's a great fighter and I see him getting in the Hall. I'm not to sure about Starling but that would be good news if he did. Not a fan of either but I love watching both.

I'll recall him as a legend. The 2 Mosely exhibitions, and what he did to Trinidad was pure boxing for me - hit and don't get hit. Those fights were his highest points (in terms of success). I'll still have his DVD's - I know that much.
