 Dawson is crap, and couldnt even beat a guy froch beat.
Barry mcguigan recently said a saying "he couldnt knock snow off a rope" and I would pin that saying on Dawson

Well he is, I still think he lost the fight with Dirrell
Too fast for him, and what was annoying for me is they labelled Dirrell in the british press etc as running away from Froch when in reality he was too fast for froch and was able to hit him at will.
If dirrell possessed more power he would have knocked froch out

At least I give more credit to Dawson for fighting Adamek and Pascal in their primes. Calzaghe only fought Kessler in his prime and got schooled pretty bad by Hopkins before taking a close decision over his grandpa. Don't worry, Dawson ain't finished yet. :good

Chad Dawson can't deal with mobile, sorta slick black fighters. He's avoided them all his career until now!

schooled pretty badly by hopkins, do you need glasses lol
    What fight were you watching?
I was watching hopkins feigning injury, trying grapple with calzaghe at every opportunity etc at no time did Hopkins school calzaghe, hopkins knew that to leave distance between him and calzaghe would be playing into calzaghes hands so he kept it ugly and close quarters which is what hopkins is good at nulifying the opponent but that doesnt earn a win and the judges didnt think so either.
Do you give Dawson credit for struggling to beat Johnson too?
A fight he should have lost
Dawson`s comments about not worrying due to the fact of a rematch were puzzling, pascal beats him again in a rematch.

Dawson is in fact extremely good technically...it's the strategy of fighting that he seems to be unable to grasp. Pascal is athletic and came in with a great strategy, which he executed quite well.

Froch is not by any means ordinary, and he did not lose to Dirrell. I am a Calzaghe fan myself, if that serves to qualify the statements any ;p

It was less an exposure of Dawson and more of Pascal coming to prominence.

Athletically, I always thought Dawson would be a rough day for Calzaghe. But seeing that fight, the Calzaghe of 2008 would have had control of Dawson from the 3rd round onward. Dawson would be difficult to outbox, but he seems quite easy to out-think.

If Dawson gets with a trainer who can formulate an effective strategy for him, he will be back in the p4p lists. He could still beat Pascal in a rematch, but if he does then I'm not seeing any fights for him until the super 6 is over.

Bute shouldn't go to 175 until he's taken care of business at 168.

    Dawson is far from done.

The guy took his first lose.OK,should he retire now.

Dawson wins a rematch with Pascal. There is nothing else Pascal can do in the rematch differently than how he fought in the first fight.

Dawson can do alot more in the rematch.Whenever Dawson let his hands go he connected and had Pascal retreating to the ropes.

Dawson would have won the 11th,and it would have been great to see what would have came about in the 12th.Probably Would have been more of the same if you ask me,with Dawson coming on strong.

Pascal started gassing in the 5th/6th round.

    Rematch Dawson TKO8

What match did you see ? A single knockdown combined with a lot of hugging isn`t schooling.
At least at, 36 JC showed ten times better than the so much praised Pavlik at 30.

The only time Dawson was able to let his hands go is when Pascal stopped using his lateral movement. All Pascal has to do is move more in the rematch and Dawson will lose even worse..

Also, Dawson emptied his tank in the early seconds of that 11th round. Pascal knew it and was gonna exploit that when the cut happened..
