Open weight? So Frazier coming in at about 205 and Tapia at 115? :think

Tapia outworks him over twelve or fifteen 8 times out of 10. Frazier might hold him to a couple of draws if he can avoid being decked.

    :sad2

We could just put a moratorium on mythical Tapia match-ups and never encounter any problems.

i'd go with Bokaj, lefthook and petetheprince.

All very stoic, level headed posters. With Bokaj slightly leaning in favour to the old school, lefthook to the new school, and petetheprince somewhere in the middle.

Lots of people on here know alot of **** about the history and obscure stuff and are very articulate in writing, but lefthook31 sounds like he knows the science of a fight when discussing fantasy matchups. Infact i wouldnt be surprised if he is involved in the sport, an active or retired trainer or something

Alright, we're enacting that into a clause for the committee. You've been re-instated.

So when this committee of "impartial" posters decide the outcome of mythical match-ups, will their decisions be taken as fact on the Classic forum?

I would say that the consensus opinion would carry alot of weight towards a certain choice as well...

The judgements won't be fact, but they will be FINAL, K. A poster gets to run-up the bragging-rights flag.

    Thanks for replying guys.

Have the committee of 3 already been chosen?
If not, then I shall post my nominations.

I have to go now, so I would like to nominate 3 impartial & supremely knowledgeable posters by the names of McGrain, lefthook31 & Muchmoore.

I'd like to know a bit more about any prospective judges background with regards to the sport & life experience, age/employment background as in self-employed decision making or an employer who's had to find answers to everyday problems that being a boss presents/a cool calm rational under pressure in problem solving or employed & part of a team i.e sales that needs co-ordination skills ect ect, a rational in analysis under pressure.

Conduct this like any job interview for management, we don't want a bunch of night-time executives poncing about on here who's day time employment consists of fetching & carrying, it's needs some pedigree attached too it or it's going to be extreamly combustible on here if some of the names i've seen bandied about get to where the toga who i'd as soon as **** on as employ going by what i've seen/read on here too date.

    I disagree with this 100%.

People are not and should not be defined by their profession.

It certainly has no bearing on one's ability to analyze or remain objective about the sport. I call bull**** in advance on any attempt to rationalize such a correlation.

Think you can cut through all that, d, by the body of a poster's opinions. No one's gonna satisfy everyone, but once there's a consensus for someone, posters -- kicking 'n screaming, albeit -- will have to accept decisions.

Or else, by consensus, the whole idea can be scrapped, and it can be back to business as usual.
