Was everyone on here aware that Pacquiao vs Margarito was another catchweight fight?

I wasnt until I read it on Thursday it will be a catchweight fight at 10st 11lbs.
If Pacquiao wins it will be winning another world title at a catchweight

Probably not. I must have been one of the few who was.
It was odd really because Pac fought Cotto at a catchweight and is now moving up in weight for another catchweight. It makes me wonder why he couldnt fight Cotto at full WW seeing hes going to be above that weight in his next fight

Im not either, especially as he had to fight Cotto at a catchweight and is now going to be fighting heavier than that weight that they fought

What Pacquiao has done is nothing short of spectacular, but catchweights are garbage, generally speaking.

True. I was never a fan of his, but he has proved me wrong so many times that I wont bet against him anymore.
I thought he would lose to Oscar, yet he won convincingly, so I put that down to Oscar being weight drained.
I thought Hatton would beat him due to being to big and strong, yet Pacquiao got him out of there in quick time.
I thought Cotto would be too much for him, yet once again Pacquiao proved me wrong.

Still why the catchweights? If a fighter is in a higher division and too big for him to compete against fairly, stay where you are comfortable

See, this is how it goes. Floyd fights JMM at 144, and comes in at 146, and he cheats JMM by coming in over 2 lbs. Second, PAc tells Cotto to fight at 145 or no fight...and to put his title on the line-that's acceptable. PAc's fans say Cotto weighed in at 146 for Clottey so it was only a lb difference. Floyd knew that he would be out weighed by Castillo at lw, Baldomir at 147, and Dlh at 154...did Floyd ask for a catch weight? No. So now we come to a fight for the title at 154 lbs, and PAc and Margarito are fighting at 150 or 151 lbs lol... You see how boxing loves sluggers lol...

Does it really matter when Margo has made 147 for years? Maybe the Margo team is luring pac in for a whooping.

So what, it's no big deal, why all the continuous drama about the weight, if both are happy & agree then lets fight:bbb

Sugar Ray Leonard did this all the time & NO ONE SQUEALED LIKE ABOUT TO BE RAPED SCHOOLGIRLS THEN did they:nono & his weight demands on LaLonde/Hearns & Duran deserved a federal investigation & no one gave a **** least of all the fighters who were getting well paid.

Get the **** off pacmans back & just be thankful we have a top fight taking place at last as seeing that con artist shitbag Mayweather has fled to the hills with his latest sack of loot AGAIN.

If you'd mentioned this fight 2 years ago you'd get taken away in a straight jacket. What Pacmans doing is actually incredbly brave & IMO somewhat stupid & dangerous in taking on Margo as i'am a fan of margo & pac & i really do believe that he's going to walk pac down as he did Cotto & bash him up & if Pac sees the 12 rounds out then he'll not be the same man again & then you'll see that talking turd Mayweather re-appear.

So stop the pathetic bitching about catchweight, whats pac got to do next, fight David Haye, i suppose they'll be bitching & squealing about that if he asked Haye had to come in at Cruiser as the whinners would say pacs got an unfair advantage:lol: Margo is 6ft 1in & dwarfs pacman so get real:smoke
