The Adamek hype express is going full steam ahead!

Adamek's stamina has been foundto be wanting in his last few bouts, and I tend to think his willingness to engage will make him ripe for right hands when he fights someone with the hand speed to anticipate him. Not been impressed with Adamek's punch resistance thus far up at Heavyweight.

 

Adamek fought nobodies at HW, but Haye would represent a step up because of Haye's level of opposition at HW was stellar? :?

I think Haye would win btw.

 

Haye represents a step up because he's infinitely better than an out of shape Steve Arreola, a shot Michael Grant, and a game but limited Jason Estrada.

 

Is Adamek better than a plodding mount Valuev, or a shot to **** Ruiz?

 

Probably not.

It astounds me how the same people who are justifying Adamek's less than stellar performance the other night, attributing it too Grant's stature, are the same people who are relentless in their criticism of Haye's performance against the biggest Heavyweight champion in the history of the division. He even hurt his hand early, and appeared on chat shows the next day with it all swollen. This was of course a non-factor considering he throws punches for a living.

In any event, I think Valuev and Ruiz both have the capacity to take Haye's shots better than The Psycho Killer.

 

That I grant you, Adamek can not take Haye's punch. But to call him a lesser boxer than Valuev, considering all aspects of boxing and not just chin, is a bit of a stretch. Valuev had no means to close the gap with Haye, because he's slow, plodding, and Haye did a marathon. Against Adamek it would be a different fight. Mind you I still heavily favour Haye in this matchup but I think it'd be more interesting than the Valuev abomination.

 

Styles make fights. Fighters who demonstrate inordinate abilities to withstand power punches will be largely successful against Haye if they have other qualities too. Adamek is obviously a more talented fighter than Valuev (sorry Boxed Ears), but I don't think he'd have the opportunity to prove it against David Haye. I honestly don't see the fight going on too long.

 

I think most of the calzombies on ESB switched their alligiance to David Haye.

Nope -- We'll probably always disagree about some things, but you aren't a calzombie.

 

- Adamek's resume is better but not by much. You have to keep in mind that, just like at CW, Adamek has these 4 wins in 10 months, Haye 3 in two years lol

- Adamek tired from about 7-10 in the Estrada fight but finished strong and seemed to tire from 7-9 in the Grant fight. He didn't tire in the Arreola fight. Haye looked gassed after round 2 vs Ruiz. Adamek definitely has a better gas tank than Haye.

- after round 2 he stopped throwing combinations and was mostly throwing one or two punches at a time.

- Adamek won't have to get on the inside, they're the same size and if Ruiz could out jab Haye Adamek certianly won't have any problem landing from the outside. That said i'm sure Adamek will go his body like always and have no problem getting inside when he wants to.
