the way some people on ESB swing from their favourite boxers **** and tongue their scrotum is ****ing insane. Boxers who acheived far less than joe c get more respect here, thats just how it is

    Marvin Haglar: 62-3-2
    Alexis Arguello: 82-8
    Tommy Hearns: 61-5-1
    Danny "Little Red" Lopez: 42-6
    Carlos Monzon: 87-3
    Bernard Hopkins: 51-5-1
    Manny Paquiao: 51-3-2

All of the fighters listed above are universally regarded as all time greats, and I could have included dozens upon dozens of names. It is flat out moronic to claim that a fighter is finished because he lost a fight, or had a bad night where he did not look good. Shane Mosely has a record of 46-6. From January 2002 through November 2004 Shane fought 6 times. His record in those fights was 1 win, 1 NC, and 4 losses. Today, Shane is a sure fire bet to make the IBHOF because Shane didn't quit.

Out of the 7 fighters on my list the only one who won a world title before he took his first loss was Tommy Hearns. If all fighters quit after their first loss, Alexis Arguello and Bernard Hopkins would have had only one fight each! If all fighters quit after one loss, boxing would be the saddest, most pathetic sport in history.

Dawson is no where near finished. In fact, I'm willing to bet he learned some valuable lessons, and the best is yet to come. He lost because he stepped up against another top light heavyweight. Show me a guy who is undefeated, and I will show you a guy who is a ducker that avoided several potential opponents.

How did you see that Dawson emptied his tank??

When the butt accured,Dawson still had Pascal retreating to the ropes pressing the action.

What did you see that says Dawson was gassing when the butt happened?

Come on PH l LLA,what are you going to say next, that Pascal would have won the 11th.

I think this loss will only help him. He was definitely the better gifted fighter that night, he was just too passive. I think this loss will, hopefully, make him more active in the ring and be more willing to take chances. If he decides to be more active and take more risk, he will be alright. If he continues to be complacent and have "safety first" attitude then he probably will lose more fights than he should. Let's not get carried away, he's still one of the better boxers out there.

I think this is a bit of an unfair rant if im completley honest , Dawson has never really screamed Calzaghe's name from the roof tops and all Americans in there hearts know that Calzaghe 08 dominates modern day Dawson , and if they dont then there lying :deal

On the Pascal fight , what i seen of Dawson in the closing stages of the 10th and early in the 11th , is if this man wants to KO Pascal he can do at his choosing , but its just his slow plodding mentality that spoils him as a fighter , he came out in the 11th and it was clear he was trying to take Pascal's head off , and Pascal didnt really know WTF was going on , he looked bamboozled , in summary what im trying to say is get off the kids back , there is no way in hell the fight was as 1 sided as the judges and most people on here made it out to be , and IMHO if Dawson hadnt of suffered that horrific gash Pascal was about to go sleep :deal

I hope Dawson learns from this , and instead of looking to accumulate a points victory , go in for the kill , at least against fighters like Pascal who fight in short sharp bursts , i rate Dawson , i think he's a genuine world class fighter , do i think he would beat Calzaghe ??? NO , but i do however rate him as a world class LHW ..............................
