    Lol. From the article:

"So that's what I want to do. I think that Maidana would be a great fight for me. But the thing is with Maidana is that his team can't over price the fight. I've had a few figures come in, and they're just way over pricing him. I can put money in it that he has never made that kind of money in his career, so why is he asking for that kind of money when he's fighting me," said Khan.

"If he's fighting me, he should be thinking, 'okay, I'll fight Amir Khan, because I know that I'll beat him.' If he beats me, then he can go and get more big pay days from big fights," said Khan. "So these guys are just looking for the pay day and over estimating themselves. It's like me going to Mayweather and saying, 'look, I'll fight you for $15 million,' and Floyd's going to turn around and say, 'well I ain't going to give you that $15 million.' That doen't mean Floyd Mayweather is scared of me because he refused that fight."

"What it is is just a very clever way of a guy who truly doesn't want to fight you of refusing a fight. I want Maidana if we can get the figures right and reasonable," said Khan. "If these guys are really confident that they can beat me, then they should take a reasonable offer and take the fight and then, if they beat me, they can go on to bigger and better things. But time will tell."

I'm not sure what Marquez made for fighting Diaz but I don't see why a fight with Khan couldn't draw a similar size pot, you've got the GB hype machine working overtime to promote Khan and there would also be PPV money coming from the UK since Sky would almost certainly pick this one up.

If Khan is confident he can beat Marquez then he should offer him a 75/25 split to get the fight made, yes he loses out financially in this fight but in the long run a win against Marquez would do more to promote his career than any hype coming out of DLH's mouth.

Khan does seem to talk himself up as some huge cash cow when he isn't, well maybe he is compared to others in the 140 division but I think a lot of it is more hype from GB than anything.

    :rofl. Based on what?

Remember, Khan is the Champion at 140. Khan-Marquez would be held in the UK. The gate would be 20,000 likely. Marquez-Diaz did 5,600 on live gate.

Regardless if Marquez has done more, if Marquez wants a fourth title, he should be the one who should agree to the demands. If not then he should go defend his LW titles against Katsidis where he's the champion so he can dictate the terms.

Yeah a fight with Khan should draw a good pot. Diaz might have fought more in America but would I be wrong to believe Khan would be a bigger name than him even in America? Khan's HBO ratings were higher than both Alexander and Bradley, and that was his debut in the US!

75/25 :lol:. Come on man, seriously, that's a freaking joke. If Marquez wants to come up and win a fourth title, then he should come down to the champions terms (Khan) because he is the one with the belt. He can dictate the terms. JMM might have achieved more but that doesn't mean he rules over who deserves more.

Marquez-Diaz did 5,600 on live gate. Khan-Marquez would do over 20,000 at live gate.

Well Khan is the cash cow of 140.

Bradley sold what? 2,000 at his last fight? Alexander sold 9,500 at his last fight. Maidana did under 500 in his last fight.

Plus Khan hasn't done great figures on PPV, but he still does get decent numbers.

If Marquez can't agree to terms then he should defend HIS titles at LW where he's the Champion who can dictate what he likes.

Based on him being more of a draw than Khan. THis isnt England. MOney is made on PPVs and Khan has yet to be on a top PPV. JMM in the meantime has headlined plenty of them.

    Khan should just fight Maidana.

Hey man I just checked and Marquez made $1 million against Diaz. I think Khan made $1.10 million against Malignaggi. I am guessing something like 60-40 or 55-45 is what Khan would ideally want? Personally, I think 50-50 is fair for this fight. Thoughts?

60/40 to Khan no doubt. The champ should always recieve more. Don't you think?

Khan took a big paycut in his last fight. He wants to get PAID. I could understand 55-45 at BEST but no further.

Khan is the champ. So he should have the right to dictate terms, should he not?

Marquez is the challenger and if HE wants to be a 4 weight champ then HE should agree to terms or try fighting the other 140 pounders who won't get him anywhere as near as big payday.

If Marquez doesn't agree then he should just defend at LW with his belts where he's the Champion so HE can dictate what HE likes, as Khan said.

If i were Khan, I think I would rather fight Marquez or Ortiz over Maidana. Khan's biggest concern right now should be not getting beat right now.

The fight could be in the UK. Also it will probably be on PPV in the UK so there will be that money.

Khan made that much against Malignaggi and had no PPV or a big gate.

    Khan-Malignaggi did 5,000 sell out.
    Marquez-Diaz did 4,600.

Khan did more in foreign territory.

Khan-Marquez in UK would do more than 20,000 live gate and do PPV figures.

    Reason being Khan deserves more.
