Yes he was floored, but he got back up easily and finished the fight without showing signs of quitting or stopping. He remained competitive for the full 12. And against Hatton, that stoppage was a joke. You could tell by his reaction what he thought of Buddy throwing the towel in. It was more of a "You're not doing what I want you to do, so I'm stopping it."

But with Khan, those flush shots were beginning to take their toll. Towards the latter rounds Paulie was feeling the punches, and he was having the life sucked out of him. A legit stoppage, to even which Paulie himself had no problems with.

Oh and I should add, that most of ESB laughed at Khan's chances of stopping Paulie.

totally agreed! Mallignaggi was able to dodge his flurries and combos...the speed didnt beat mallignaggi, the reach and jab beat paulie.

He looks fast handed but he has no power and his timing and accuracy is average.

Absolutly and completly OVERATED to death. His speed is not effective speed in the mould of pacquiao, judah, mayweather, hamed, dirrel and other speed merchants. Khan is just fast at flinging his arms about like an ameuter

A Hatton circa 03' - 08' would kill any of the current crop of 140 lb guys!

Totally agree. You can't just get KO1 in one and not try to avenge something like that. No way.

I would say he has the fastest hands in boxing right now, that would be one aspect of his game that isn't overrated.

Why has Paulie never been KOed? because he never walks on to shots, when he starts getting hit he moves out of range, he has good footwork as part of his defence.

You guys in the U.S really never got to see Khan land his fast combo's due to Paulie's style, you got to see a fast jab and time to time a over hand right but that's it. When Khan fights Maidana who walks forward with an open guard then you will see real speed.

Khan has the fastest handspeed around his weight 135/140/147

I would have rather Khan made an attempt to get revenge...but Prescott has been terrible ever since, whereas Khan has just gone from strength to strength. If Prescott would be able to get himself into a position were Khan has to face him again...I would love to see that fight again. But at the moment, and since the KO...Prescott has looked very one dimensional.

And for me, Maidana is a much greater challenge than Prescott...hits harder and never takes a step backwards. If Khan gets the victory over Maidana...I don't see how people would continue to say that Khan should be in with Prescott anytime soon, unless Prescott works himself into position like I said.
