That doesn't say Allan Green is completely out of the super six tournament. It only says he will not be fighting Mikkel Kessler. Obviously it says they are going to sit down and discuss Allan's future, and that they are going to get him a world class fight, thats all

And doesn't mention anything about his 'next fight in the Super Six'....

Right. Dibella didn't mention anything about his fight being in the super six or not being in the super six, so we don't know yet.

No. But the fact that he says that he is going to 'sit down with Ken Hershman to discuss Allan's future' and 'trusts that Showtime will provide Allan with the opportunity to showcase his skills in a meaningful fight versus a world class opponent in the very near future' provides pretty decent hints that he doesn't anticipate that Green will be in a further Super 6 fight. Why say all that when you could just say 'we'll see who Showtime replace Kessler with'?

This was my understanding as well.

I read somewhere that this was probably going to happen the moment Kessler withdrew.

I had no idea, sorry. I haven't been online in the last couple of days and thought I'd had a eureka moment... Obviously not. In an ideal world the super 6 would be just that but as we all know, boxing is a sport that seldom goes to plan. As for trying to establish the outright best SMW... Nice plan but never mind. That's not to say they shouldn't try this format for other divisions.

They won`t dilute anything.Woudn`t make any sense to introduce a fighter now.If he`s tied how would they make the rank?
The chance that the scheduled matches to be the semis considering the two bouts would set the things clear regarding Ward-Direll. If the last stands on refusing even a neutral place will be threatened with disqual. But I think won`t happen, given the new circumstamces.
