This guy is a Warrior if there ever was one. Hes getting ripped apart at the Moment but he doesnt deserve it. He stepped into MMA and in his first fight took on a Legend and he didnt give a ****. He was out of his depth but he stepped up and put himself on the line. I can think of alot of Fighters today who havent got that frame of mind that he has. He doesnt give a ****. He talks ALOT but really believes in himself. Hes had an amazing Career and doesnt deserve the flak he getting.

Wise up - he did it for an easy fat paycheck. No training required, just hugs a semi-naked dude for 3 minutes and collect 750k. Done deal.:nut

No thanks. I rather go with the option:

    Wanted a big paycheck.

He got in there with an HOF UFC fighter for ****s sake. What did he expect with hardly any experience? Everyone knew when he's on the ground that he's done.

    The guy was embarassing.

Respect? For what? Make a ****ing spectacle of himself and getting choked out on national TV? He only did what he did because he knew that circus show stunt would get him a payday. What he did takes zero balls, just a very high degree of desperation. He disgraced himself and the sport of boxing in my opinion.

Bleh. He took a chance for a payday and got worked. The fight went exactly according to script. Couture shoots in incredibly low and ends the fight on the ground inside the first round. I felt like Manny Steward giving my prefight prediction last night....

Not at all. I have tons of respect for his boxing career. Last night, though, was a complete joke.

He's not a warrior. He just wanted to get paid. I would have had more respect for him if he let himself get put to sleep. At least that way we could say Toney has no quit in him.

Did anyone expect anything else to happen? He trained for 9 months in MMA, is 42 and looked like he spent his time training with Kobiyashi.

He did get me to pay for the one the worst ppv's of all time. Did all those fights suck or what. And they say boxing is boring, wow.

Actually, yes, it quite obvious people have forgotten. Nobody would in their right mind label the man as a joke. Not a jibe at you mate, but look at some of the comments here. Last night he was in a different sport and he came up short - in a big way. But what did people expect?? He is shot to **** in a boxing ring let alone a cage. It's actually quite a sad site watching Randy choke him out like that. I watched his fight today against Iran Barkley and he was ****ing immense. To tar him with a pathetic brush because of last night is just ******ed.

I have a lot of time for Couture but if he were to fight a Vitali in a boxing match he would get his ass handed to him. Does that mean he is a joke?? Of course not. :good

Well, I would say it was a circus spectacle. The result was a foregone conclusion, particularly when he came into the ring looking even worse off physically than he perhaps ever has before. He came in hoping for a big shot and that's all. It's not like he got down to business, got in shape, and did it to give himself a real chance. He just came in hoping to land a big one. That's a joke, in my opinion, and that's saying nothing about his boxing career which was very, very respectable.
