What performances made you take notice of a certain fighter?

Oh **** i forgot about Forrest vs Mosley 1. Forrest schooled him in that fight
and Martinez vs Williams made me a fan of martinez

 

Saw that on Eurosport the other week, have to agree. Cannot believe how high some ratings have Aydin.

 

Believe it or not I tuned in to Pavlik/McKart expecting to see Bronco take this skinny midwestern kid to school. Afterward, I knew Pavlik would end up beating Taylor.

Salvador Sanchez/Danny Lopez. There is a bit of mythology attached to that fight. The myth says Sal simply out boxed Little Red. He did out box him, and frequently played the counter puncher. However, he also spent considerable time right in the pocket. He took Red's best shots, and did not even blink. Jesus what a chin.

Arguello/Mancinni. Boom Boom got a big push from CBS and the boxing media. I thought he was just a media darling, and a bit of a hype job. When he gave the great
Alexis Arguello all he could stand for 12 rounds, obviously, I changed my mind.

Those are the first 3 that come to mind. I'll probably think of some others later.

 

He could well be, i thought at the time he looked a bit like Sergio Martinez stylewise. Definately one to keep an eye on :deal
