I think theres only one main thing to be said about the Maidana Khan fight.

There's all these amateur commentators on here who say Maidana is nothing, and that Khan will walk through him.. but the fact is, professionals in the industry who have actual experience and knowledge of boxing have spent a lot of time keeping Maidana away from Khan, and anyone else who has power since September 2008.

Khan has amazing speed, great work ethic, learns quick and a great atheletic ability but the sad fact is his chin is terrible, he needs to be matched very carefully through his career. With this fight they are taking the gamble that Khan can take advantage of Maidana's poor technique and slow speed to avoid taking significant shots whilst sticking to the plan. Personally I don't believe he can, he has shown multiple times that he has a very bad tendancy to stray from what he's being told when things get tough. I'd also have had the event in the U.S even though it makes less financial sense. Being in the UK is just going to increase the likelyhood of him baying to crowd pleasing when in trouble

It's risk/reward though isnt it? If Maidana was a ten million pound fight then the fight would have been made earlier. Because for ten million, it looks an easy opponent. But for small change, Maidana's punchers chance (and that's all it is) is a much bigger risk. Now that Marquez and Kat are tied up and Ortiz is the same stable as Khan, then this fight makes sense because of lack of alternatives.

When Khan eases his way to victory over Maidana, the same people who have been calling Khan a chicken or whatever will be saying that Khan was ducking JMM, Kat or Ortiz.

I honestly dont see the big deal with Maidana. Easy defence for Khan. I dont want the fight to happen ahead of a fight with any of the other three mentioned, but the more I hear that Maidana will KO Khan, the more I want the fight to happen, just so these people will pipe down and consider the fact that Khan is a very good boxer with a weak chin but Maidana is a very weak boxer with a good punch.

    = Khan UD.

If people disagree they are amateurs? (or their opinion is ridiculous?)

Any reason 98% of your posts are all about Khan?:think

Don't try and attempt to make it look like you are unbiased.:nono

"On what do people base these ridiculous opinions. Khan has never yet fought anyone who has knowingly posed a threat.....all these crazy ideas that Khan is going to blast him out in a few rounds or totally dominate are unfounded.....Paulie by a clear 12 round decision all over it."

Good post. Seems now that people believe Khan merely has to turn and hes won. Look at the matchmaking tendancys of team khan...if they believed it to be THAT easy i think this fight would have happened already. Because we know for a fact thats what they do and thats how they operate.

I personally just think Maidana will stop Khan

Since when has Khan quit in a fight?

He was belted into next week against Prescott but still tried to get up.

Stuck on his arse by Limond (and should have been stopped) but came back to win by stoppage in the next round.

Stuck on his arse by Gomez, came back and won by stoppage.

Shut out Kotelnik - who according to many beat the man who holds the two other main titles, Devon Alexander.

Ortiz was up against the first bloke that wouldn't just fall over, and quit - in shocking fashion.

    The two are completely different.

I've seen your posts on BN24. You have ZERO credibility. No one should take your posts seriously.

    Amatuers as in non professionals

How does that insinuate I have bias?, I live near Khan so have followed him since a teenager, I have no particular like or dislike, however I do take offense at all the people who make ridiculous claims of his capabilities or what he's going to do

Couldn't agree more. If only Khan's chin was as hard as his balls...

He shouldn't haven't been fighting those guys the way he was, completely open trying to bang them out of there, but he was mostly getting away with it because of his size.

I honestly believe that Khan would make this fight so easy its untrue. I reckon Paulie M could beat Maidana too.
