David Haye Update

Yeah i think it was Iesely saying something about that saying what the hell he is announcing cricket? Do you think his celebritey status has gone to his head?... What if he just up and retires...? i cant remember the last time ive seen someone so disinterested in his career when he has a belt and is in his prime..

 

How can it possibly still be the Klitschkos fault? They've been calling him out in public for the last 5 months and david hayes said nothing until now.

So...if its Ademek next like some are saying..then when will that be? Adamek fights this weekend so it cant happen this year so Haye is still a dull bum who only fights once a year.

I used to be a fan but i cant be arsed with the **** anymore never fighting and always talking ****

Adamek fought a few weeks ago and certainly isn't fighting this weekend. There is talk of him fighting in November. Lance Whitaker is being mentioned.

Am I missing something... People seem to despise Haye on here yet beyond being arrogant I don't see the problem. He fought in April, a mere 4 months ago, when considering many boxers these days seem to do 7-9month lay offs at a time is hardly huge.

As far these remarks about him being a chicken/scared of the klits, it's nonsense. The primary fear modern boxers have is almost never their opponent, because ultimately even if a lesser boxer they are usually self deluded and believe they have a chance or think themselves better than they actually are. In reality the thing modern boxers fear the most is whether or not they are getting what they believe they deserve in terms of financial reward

I imagine nobody but a few people knows the full story of what goes on in these negotiations, but whatever it is you can pretty sure that Haye feels that the deal available through fighting the Klits was not satisfactory for the draw he thinks himself to be.

Personally, prior to Haye, heavyweight boxing was not something I have bothered staying up to watch for many years. It was either plodding mechanical eastern europeans or two overweight guy hug fests. I think he has an exciting style, and whoever he ends up fighting next i'll be watching, if its Audley then great. He's a deluded joke and I took satisfaction in seeing his career collapse, but I think it would be the funniest thing to happen in a long while if he KO'd haye and became heavy champ

 

It's 2 days short of 5 months since he last fought now. I don't despise Haye but having been a massive fan of his i am now i the position where I am almost no longer even a fan.

I was a fan of his career at Cruiser because of his willingness fight the best and go anywhere to do it.

If he had went up to heavy and hadn't called the Klitschko's out then I may have become less of a fan but I still would have respected him. He didn't though he called out the Klitshcko's, said they were only interested in fighting bums, said he would be the man to sort out the division, criticising it for a being a boring division and said he would be the one to bring the spark back to the division.

I backed him against Barret as it was his first fight since stepping up properly, the Valuev fight was understandable after the Wlad fight fell through and it was understandable he then fought his mandatory back in his own country.

Since then though he has disappeared completely when he should be in his prime and be setting up a big fight now he has the title. Fine, don't fight the Klitshcko's but don't expect to fight Harrison and still have any respect. get a decent fight and hurry the hell up about it.

I'm pissed off because he looks like he will be fighting Harrison. This goes against everything he criticised the division and the brothers for. How can you respect him after that and how can you be a fan of someone who disappears for 5 months after saying he will retire within 2 years then fights Harrison and then will probably disappear again until summer next year. For all he criticised the brothers for being boring and defending their belts against bums. it's a lot more exciting than not fighting anyone.

Hopefully the delay after his announcing an announcement is down to him still trying to get a better fight but it looks less likely.

 

I'm pissed off with David Haye, because i have grown to like him.

I don't want him to fight Audley Harrison, because i know Harrison will spark him out.....seriously.

I would rather David Haye fight someone esle, or one of the K-Bro's.

 

Harrison will not spark haye out. it will be over in max of 3 rounds and it would result in Haye winner by KO.

I'm so disappointed in Haye, he promised me so much and delivered nothing....i'm taking posters of him down as I type.

 

LOL, will you still feel the same if he fights Harrison and KO's him, then fights a few more crediable opponents, then takes on the klits? or would you still feel the same. you got to look past this fight, you never know it might not be harrison he fights next, (i know its looking likley but we wont know untill he announces)
