I have to admit a few things.

    1. I had no idea Timur Ibragimov Still Fought

    2. I obviously then had no idea this fight was taken place tonight.

Singh was 20-0 11 ko's two time olympian going into the fight...so good win for Timor... Not a big Timur fan but seems he's a win or two away now from a meaningful fight.

What might be even more noteworthy is Luis Ortiz defeated Kendrick Releford by 8 round UD in just his 3rd fight.

The other Ibragimov is the one I'd rather see still fighting.

Awesome, I hope Timur takes on a top ten contender next; although I will never forgive him for that stinkfest he put on with Tony Thompson a few years back. One of the worst matches I've watched.

Name every single fight of his that you've actually seen.

Singh had one of the most awkward stances I've ever seen. He was really stiff. Didn't bend his knees, hardly tucked in his chin, practically stood straight up. . . The last 2 rounds of this fight were lots of fun.

Actually, since you have in fact seen him I have no problem whatsoever with your comments.

It's when people look at Boxrec records and make arbitrary decisions one way or the other that it raises my hackles.

99% of us haven't seen a lick of Singh in action since none of his actual bouts were ever televised or uploaded online. So for people to express any opinion about him - positive or negative - my first reaction is to be skeptical and assume they're basing it superficially on the same black-and-white info the rest of us have access to.

It's interesting to hear he appeared unskilled in person. The descriptions of the loss to Ibragimov leading up to the stoppage aren't flattering of him, either. It makes you wonder how the hell he managed to rack up any wins at the Olympic level. :think

Yeah, his two wins at the 2000 Games were over competitors from South Korea and South Africa - not exactly hotbeds of world-class talent.

I believe Singh was a light heavyweight in the 2000 Games. Timor is a fringe contender type of talent who is serious about boxing. I wish his cousin Sultan would get back into boxing. Sultan was talented, and could be entertaining.

I saw Singh back on cable many years ago. He beat a joruneyman, but looked awful and was cut.

BOXREC will tell you how shitty the opponents are he fought.... the guy was 20-0 and 16 of the guys had losing records.....

BOXREC tells me in his 20th fight he fought a guy with 2 wins

Boxrec tells me in his 18th fight he fought a guy with 2 wins

doesnt take a genius to see this guy pretty much fought horse **** and lost to joe average by tko when he stepped up a little......

Until someone does step up, however, you can't do anything with that previous information and you're a ****ing fool if you think you can.

You can remark on the level of competition, yes - but without seeing someone in action with your own eyes you are in no position whatsoever to comment on how they'll perform against a higher level before they actually do step up.

Of course now we know he didn't make the grade, but looking at Boxrec and declaring him to be either good or bad without having seen him before last night is idiotic.

Losing to Ibragimov we can analyze. Beating soft opposition out of the public eye - we can not.

You're really badly exposing yourself, here. Don't expect anybody to take you seriously from now on.
