Floyd and Calzaghe

I'm no Floyd fan but you shouldn't even mention these two in the same sentence.

 

Calzaghe shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as Floyd.

 

I think Calzaghe had a more unlucky career in the sense that he wasnt seen as one of the elite guys until the end of his reign.

 

Calzaghe is allmost forgotten.. But if they put a scope on SMW and LightHW, they might find Calzaghe.

Floyd wil only be remembered as a coward ducking Paq

 

Floyds natural ability can be appriciated where as Calzaghes can not.

Calzaghe hardly did any sparring before his fights. He could change and adapt to any style he was facing, there and then, much like Floyd does. Add to that his terrific hand speed and work rate and you have a very dangerous fighter.

The only question is comparing both fighters records. Floyd has the better one. That's that really.

 

I dont realy see Calzaghe as greatly skillful in comparision to ATGs where as i think Floyd hold out with them.

I was responding to your comment about not being able to appreciate Calzaghe's natural ability, when he clearly had plenty of it, just not on Mayweather's level.

Well these two have one definite thing in common........

They both have the most rabid nut hugging fans this sport has ever seen.

 

I am anything but a Floyd Mayweather fan, but in every way he is leagues above Joe Calzaghe.

Floyd is a vastly, vastly superior fighter in terms of ability, he has achieved far, far more in his career, and his resume is far, far better.

This one is not even close at all in any way.



Also, Floyd has bigger balls, because he gave Castillo a rematch after a controversial decision in the first fight, even when doing so was not really of any great necessity to him. Calzaghe shirked out of doing the same with Bernard Hopkins.

 

Come on dude. Lacy did have an enormous amount of hype leading into the Calzaghe fight, and JC dominated him., but Lacy cannot be compared to a Castillo, Corrales, Hatton, and even a past prime DLH and Mosley.

Don't like Floyd, but there is no comparisn really.

 

This is truly a dumb ****ing thread. Hate can do wonders to ones rationale . Joe and Floyd don't belong in the same sentence.
