How do you guys view Margarito's loss against Mosley?

If anything, we saw a very old Mosley (The same 1 Mayweather beat) Destroy a Prime Margo, The young Mosley of 97-2001 would've beat the **** out of any version Margo much worse than what we saw in 09.

 

With the only POSSIBLE exception being the Roids. No way in hell was he going to pass the rigorous scrutiny of the tests demanded by FLoyd.

 

It was known, and Emanuel Steward mentioned it before the fight, that Margarito did not train for Mosley fight.

 

I view it for what it is the guy tried to cheat, could not and got totally destroyed and KTFO in 9 rounds. I dont care if Margarito wasnt himself after the glove scandal who's fault would that be ? The guy went into a fight with SSM and got his ass kicked for every secound of every round nothing could have made a difference.

 

We'll see that Margarito aint **** without his plaster fists after Pacman destroys him and he doesnt hurt Pacman. You can't pressure **** when you aint got power, and his brick fists are gone bye bye.

 

First off i thought Shane was gonna get KTFO, but all this talk about Cheato being distracted and part of the reason i thought shane was going to lose was because of HIS distractions. Werent the steroid allegations coming back and his wife taking his ass to court coming into play around that time?

 

Are you one of those who are absolutely convinced that Margo "must have cheated" before the Mosley fight but refuses to believe it was possible for Mosely to have been loaded against Margarito

 

It's absolutely possible that Shane loaded before the fight. Whether he did or not I still believe Margarito cheated and beat at least one face in with plaster fists before getting caught at the Mosley bout. I also believe he will be beaten badly by Pacman, not only because Pacman's speed will overcome anything Margarito has planned but, because his stalking will do nothing against an elite fighter when his power is taken away.

 

Bad style matchup for him. Shane destroys those come forward mexican fighters.

People are making this **** too complicated. No one is going to stand there wit their thumb up their anus hole to take those kind of bombs from Mosley. It doesn't matter if your entire family just died and you're depressed. You either have the skills to prevent that kind of punishment or fight you way out of it.

 

It really was just a complete mismatch ..

 

Bull****. It's not that simple. There's always circumstances that affect the outcome of fights.

Bottom line Mosley was the better man that night and that's what counts but to dismiss everything that went on before the fight is way too simplistic.

 

They could fight a 100 times. Mosley would whoop his AZZ all the time. You don't ****ing stand there to take those kind of bombs if you have what it takes to stop it. Your boy marg was never going to have what it takes. emmanuel is going to **** up TACOCHEATO too!

 

Not sure why how long after the fact people haven't realised it is not a great win for Mosley. It has been (not widely, sure, but) documented that Margarito either did not train or trained minimally for the fight and I believe it was Doug Fischer (could be wrong) who went on record saying that Margo had been getting smashed to pieces by sparring partners of the lowest level for weeks. Factor in that like what, ten minutes before the fight, he found out that his career was most likely over, and he might possibly be going to jail. He wasn't in anywhere near the correct frame of mind.

What the fight is, is a solid but not spectacular win for Mosley and a huge one for Naazim Richardson. It's a good win but belts aside should never have made anyone believe that Mosley was suddenly the top WW in the world. Body shots clearly hurt Margo early and that was Richardson.

For some reason people seemed to derive from the fight that Mosley is a murderous puncher. Can we please shut up about this, since he clearly isn't? He landed as perfect a shot as he could have hoped for on Mayweather (the second one), that caught him not only blind to it, but in the process of throwing his own shot. And Mayweather, whose chin is at best questionable, stayed up. Mosley landed about 100 of them on Margarito that he shook off and kept moving forward and then suddenly when punch number 101 knocks him down (admittedly almost killing him) he is such a devastating puncher? I think not.

Good win, commend him for it. But not as great as people seem to make out.
