Why didn't the "#1 Pound for Pound 7 weight champion of the world" take on Berto then? Do you believe he is less of a threat than Plaster boy minus the plaster?

:patsch WTF was there to complain about? It was a meaningless win for Ortiz in my book. Campbell is NOT a JrWW. Really...WTF am I supposed to have complained about with Kahn and Paulie now?

WHy should I have? Sure I wanted the Mayweather fight. But what was wrong with this? Clottey was a top 5 WW. He had never been decisively beaten like that ever, not even by larger WW's.

:patsch WTF Man? How do you come up with those conclusions based on what I say?

Why should I want Mayweather to fight Berto? Berto's biggest win is a close wight w/ Collozo. He's not ready for any of the elites.

Pac is no more obligated to fight Berto than anyone else is.

Answer this, why should Pac fight Berto? Pac's already beaten better WW's then Berto. BEaten more accomplished WW's then Berto. Why do you insist Pac face berto?

That's easy... Berto isn't a Top Rank fighter.

Anyway, hopefully Berto will face someone legit. I'd like to see him against Clottey, actually.

Because Berto is a WW champion MORON!

The better question is why/how is Pac fighting a title eliminator for a belt not at that belt's weight against a fighter who isn't ranked at the weight and his ONLY showing at the weight against a REAL champ, Daniel Santos, he got his but kicked! Daniel Santos has been calling him back up ever since!

The official record is Berto the winner.

Berto vs. Clottey would be a good test.

Complain about both being bad matchups and easy meaningless wins.

This was a terrible matchup. Everyone knew going into the fight Pacman was a volume puncher, including Clottey. They also knew Clottey would sit there in his guard and lose a lopsided decision. Clottey said in a ****ing interview before the fight his gameplan was to let Pacman throw 30 and him throw 4 back! (http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6234VA20100304) This fight was Bob Arum playing the media and Pacmans fans into thinking it would be a tough fight because Clottey is big. Horrible horrible matchup. Looks like it worked on a lot of this site though.

Who should Berto fight? Darryl was getting at the fact that people say Berto isn't a top fighter because he hasn't fought anyone, but they complain when it's brought up for him to get one of those fights.

Darryl's post seemed to be getting at the fact that Berto is criticized for opponents other fighters get respect for fighting, and when it's mentioned that he should fight an elite fighter you all say he doesn't deserve the chance. Margarito deserves a chance to fight Pacquiao more than Berto? Are you ****ing kidding me?

Maybe the winner of IBF title fight: Jackiewicz-Zaveck?

This. But like it's been said he didn't fight Berto because Berto would not give him his catchweight 8th world championship title so he can hold the world record.

:huh Again...Why am I supposed to complain? Ortiz beating Campbell was a waste. But what was so bad about Kahn beating Paulie now?

OH please, first of all...who ever this mysterious "THEY" is doesn't mean squat. WHat matters is, Clottey has fought some good WW's, and only ever lost disputed dicisions. Pac wiped him out. Heading into the fight, it was not seen as a wipe out for Pac. No need for revisionist history here.

Again...enough of the "THEY" ****. There is no "THEY". Personally, I see Berto going after Pac or Floyd as a waste. It's his right to call them out, but he needs to know, as well as some posters, that no one is obligated to fight berto right now. At least not the Big names.

Of course he might get criticized for fighters opponents get respest for. Not all boxers are on the same level.

At least Margarito has had some big wins @ 147, compared to Berto. So yes, he is more deserving.

Are you just dense? Berto is not on the level of Pac, nor even on the level of Margarito in terms of wins. DO you not know that, or do you conveniently ignore that little tidbit?

WHy aren't you all up on FLoyd for not fighting Berto as well? OR Paul WIlliams. Is Pac the only guy in your eyes that needs to fight Berto or something?

.... I quoted Darryl's post. It pointed out the fact that people are mocking fights with Campbell because it would be a waste. But people had no problem with Ortiz fighting Campbell. A fight with Paulie would be a waste, but it wasn't for Kahn? Kahn fought Paulie simply because his fists compared to other boxers are filled with feathers instead of muscle. Kahn aint want that jaw tapped. Paulie will not beat the elite, Kahn saw no threat against an known name. Do you want Berto to take on Paulie? If so this wouldn't apply to you...

It was seen as a wipe out by people with common sense. Clottey throws minimal punches. Pacquiao throw a lot of punches. What does a lot of punches thrown vs a little amount of punches thrown equal? A landslide decision victory. It aint like Pacquiao was accurate... He just threw a lot. Against a man who said in an interview BEFORE the fight he would throw 4 to Pacquiao's 30. I can understand if you didn't read that article before the fight, but it's common knowledge Clottey throws minimal. Everyone with common sense should have seen the outcome of that fight a mile away.

What has Margarito shown since his plaster was taken away? Not a God damn thing. I cannot say all of his prior fights he had plaster fists, but I sure haven't seen anything since then to indicate otherwise. We'll see how much he damages Pacquiao, I'm thinking minimal. And Clottey did a nice amount of damage with minimal connects.

I think it's going to be his mandatory WBC defense against Selcuk Aydin aka "Mini Tyson" (20-0) 15ko's.
