    Less educated, as in........

    They were less educated,

furthermore science was less advanced. Understanding of the body and its reactions to the stresses of exercise and diet.

What other way could there possibly be?

    Boxon123...

    Poster from the future... lookout.

Clearly Boxon123 is one of these trainers whose spent the last 25 years talking bollocks- read through the thread and thought '****, I say most of these things, i'm actually speaking shite'.

All he's got now is his 'university of life' line and a time machine. :thumbsup

You will grow up one day and I will sound a whole lot smarter ! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1071485/index.htm Interestling the sport with one of the highest level of college educated people (college wrestling) still use old methods of Dehydrate and rehydrate. Banning the use of saunas and the like has not stopped them using hot baths to dehydrate and cool salt filled bathh to rehyrate. Is this were I should say sorry for knowing about the world or should a go and ask a professor to tell me what to think.Rofl

Were you dropped on your head as a child? Repeatedly? Just when I think you couldn't get any dumber you do something like this....... And totally redeem yourself! No seriously do you know how many things are wrong with what you just said? Here at esb I've seen some dumb mother****ers but you well and truly take the title of 'supreme dumb****'. Your mother should've swallowed you. That's not even a joke in this situation, she really should have for the sake of humanity.

Just read the article... You do realise that article is from 1960 and it's written by a guy who gets punched in the head for a living? Some things he says are good common sense things but other things are completely stupid. The big secret is not swallowing food if you want to lose weight? And you think that is revolutionary and something that is healthy to do when you are training? **** me dead

    Lol:patsch

The day you begin to sound smarter is the day I begin to suffer from dementia. This is the day you should realise you've been speaking shite for however ever many years you've been impeding your fighters performances by not engaging your brain. Please stick to the general unless you have something useful to share.

You should be, this guy claims to be a trainer.

This is a prime example of a person who has no understanding of what he see's other people do and just copies it with little understanding of the pro's and con's. The worst kind of 'trainer' there is. I'm intrigued to know which world class fighters he's trained. But don't for one second think stupidity is reserved to the non-elite trainers. Sometimes even the trainers with good fighters do some crazy stupid ****.

I sometimes go and watch a mate of mine spar at the local Thai boxing gym.

Some of the things those lads do to make weight make me shudder. One bloke skipped off 10lbs on the morning of the weigh in..... another didn't have a proper meal for 4 days before the fight.

    Mad!

Hello, I am real insecure around people who have degrees. Do you think I should go trolling around on internet forums telling people how much smarter I am than them would improve my self esteem?

I already have a back up plan if anyone calls me names, I will point out any spelling mistakes they make that show up with a red squiggly line and then call them dumb.

My younger brother is making his kick boxing debut in a couple of weeks. He has to lose 10kg (around 20 pounds) to make weight. He's quite slim and he's gonna fight like a bloody cancer patient come fight night.

I can only imagine the advice his trainers are giving him.

Stupidest thing i ever heard from a trainer was to go for a long run, take a bucket and spit in it while running to lose weight.
