Schaefer said. "I talked to Khan's attorney and I made him an offer for Khan to fight Maidana and I am waiting to hear back. HBO made an offer for the fight, and based on that offer, I also went to Maidana and I'm waiting for his response, but it looks good." England's Khan probably will take some time to finalize the fight as he is doing relief work in flood-ravaged Pakistan, where his family is from. HBO's offer for Khan-Maidana, according to a source, is $2 million if it takes place in the United States, $1.75 million if it's in England, but live in U.S. prime time and $750,000 if it's in England and airs on tape-delay in U.S. prime time. Schaefer wouldn't comment on the figures. If Victor Ortiz defeats Vivian Harris on Sept. 18, he could appear on the undercard. Ortiz also fought on Khan's undercard in May as Golden Boy builds toward a possible showdown.

If it's in the US sky or any other channell will pay less. He will also take more at the gate in the UK.

its called the bottom line pal.

if those thousands in the stadium were prepared to make up the difference i am sure amir and marcos would be willing to fight in outer mongolia if they were rewarded for it!

3am in the UK it is then?? I don't blame Kahn if thats where the money is but those 2am-3am starts are killers, it'd take a very special fight for me to attend one of those again.

Heaven forfend an American tv channel offering more money if something is held at the best time for them to attract more viewers. Won't someone think of the children?

Yep, the problem is staying out of the ****ers in the afternoon though. I went to Haye-Macc with a load of rugby fans and it was an internationals weekend with 2 games on, one after the other.

We were in the pub from 1ish onwards and the fight didn't start until 2am!!

**** off with that ****. Is that why he filled out a 10,000 arena in Newcastle where he's NEVER fought before?

I don't know where you guys get this bull****, but I do agree that SOME RACIST people do make the difference.

Where has he said it'll be in US? He WANTED his next fight in the UK very badly but MEN and O2 Arena are both booked for that date and HBO willing to give more on primetime so he'll probably fight in the U.S.

He made it publicly clear that he wanted to fight in the UK next.

Well not from what I saw. I was up at the Salita fight and the reception was brilliant. I couldn't hear a boo at all. So I don't know where you're getting this **** from.

I was at the Barrera fight too but the reception was still great but there was boo's due to it being Barrera the legend. When it comes to a Mexican fighter, they'll cheer the Mexican on because he's the legend and they always come to fight.

The 'many people' you talk about must be EDL ***gots who are really uneducated IMO. I've witnessed it, I'd know.

Wow. The biggest **** move in the book. Even haters admit Khan wanted Marcos before yet ****s like you always find a way to bash a guy.

Weren't you one of the people who said Maidana will KO Khan? Maidana's always been the same fighter and it only took your pea size of a brain to realise that now.
