I have no faith that he could do it, but Sam knocking out Waldo would really liven up this bummer of a boxing year.

    Imagine that after fight interview...

    UNDISPUTE......Heavvv...Champi..........

    WHO NEX!!!!>>>>>>>>>>WHO NEX!!!????

Cool fight. Hope Peter "shows up", ready to REALLY fight, cause he will ****ing have to to even stand a chance. BUT, if he does, this could be one of the best Wlad fights in a good while.

...We know this by the evidence of Wlad winning a decision over him? I guess going the distance with someone and winning a UD means you're in way over your head now.

You are correct that Sam just wasn't good enough to close the show the first time he fought Wlad. Wlad will always be a better fighter than him.

This rematch should have taken place after the Peter-Maskaev fight in my opinion. Because the current Sam Peter is badly damaged goods now. Therefore, this fight's outcome is a foregone conclusion.

You will all see soon enough.

Peter was in far better shape for the first fight. Check that fight out again. These training pics don't indicate to me that he's even close to the shape he was in for his first go with Wladimir. Since then, Sam has become even slower and a lot less aggressive. I think he will try to stand and box with Wladimir this time. And that is actually going to be his undoing.

He is also so damn slooooow, he doesn't move his head, his punching power is vastly overrated, he has poor punching technique, he has suspect stamina, and he's doesn't cut off the ring nowadays.

He will get another Klitschko payday and the beating that comes with it. There is a reason why Manny Steward is looking for a stoppage in this fight. Peter is ready to go before he even gets in there. Wlad will have a field day.

Thats exactly it. Chagaev, Arreola, Rahman, Peter,.....they don't even have a puncher's chance against Wlad or Vitali (and we've seen it in all those fights) b/c of the height and reach difference. Not complaining, by all means take advantage of your physical advantages but its just a fact. You can make a case for most (probably not Rahman) of having a "punchers chance" against David Haye (b/c of the roughly equal sizes)....but you can't say that against the Klits. They will lose when they get old (if one or both fights too long) or if Wlad is around long enough for decent fighter who's his height comes up and has a chance.

It's good that he's in better shape again.

But it's his technique that let him down in the original fight. Just how much of an improvement can we really say he's shown since then? He had the Toney II fight but seemed to regress since then.

Unless he's sorted that out, it won't matter what weight he is. It'll just be like the Vitali fight again, trundling forward in a straight line eating jabs & straights and unable to get close enough for his own shots.

Dude Peter had a ruptrued ear drum in the McCline fight for god sakes! Look at the right Maskaev landed on Peter at the end of the 5th of their fight,, look at all the punches he took from Vitali and Wlad and NEVER went down

Peter's looking ready, that's for sure. Can't wait to see what he does on the night of the fight.
