Now frst thngs frst, anyone ive spoke to on here will know i put a lot of emphasis on national pride, you know im a bonafide englishman and i would have loved nothing more than to see rocky put burns down on his ass and knock him out. that beng said i coulod not help but be impressed by the determinaton shown by burn, especially in round 12. what a fight.

he thoroughly deserved the win and my card was

    B-M

    8-10
    10-9
    10-9
    10-9
    10-9
    9-10
    9-10
    10-9
    9-10
    10-9
    10-9
    10-9

    115-112

and round 10 is easily a contender for round of the year.

you know what as well, considering the hype that alex arthur received, h never put on a performance like that. i really believe burns couldbe the best scottish boxer since harrison. he as also done the rounds on the domestc scene, earl, gomez, arthur, johaneson. cant fault the guy.

now i will expect a number of domestic clashes by burns, i would not be at all surprsed if he fghts gary sykes, kevin mitchell or nicky cook next. let hm make his money in big stadium fghts against those names, then when he has a solid fanbase id lke to see him try unifyng next year. the divson isnt very strong and burns has good fundamentals and a good chin, that will always take a fighter far. whether he has enough to beat the likes of fana, remans to be seen.

I actually thought Burns was going to win at first, was going to put money on him as well, but I got taken in by all the people he said he had no hope.

Likes of Fana? Burns just beat a better fighter than paper champ fana.
I still remember barrera starching fana w/ that right hand.

Super feather is one of the weakest divisions in boxing right now, featherweights like Gamboa and Juanma would be huge favorites against anyone in that division.

stylstically it is a different challenge. you must be a big fan to go through my post and try turning it into a negative. im just saying i think he should have a few more dustups before tryna unify.

agreed, i think any of the bgboys from that divson would be a huge favourite, caballero, john, gamboa, juanma any of them would be expected to win and win big.

martinez made me want to pull out my eyes

he would try throw short punches from the outside when burns is like a mile away.

you can take his comment to mean the following

"i just typed fana into boxrec and saw he won a vacant belt and got knocked out by barrera 5 years ago"

    Yes he is.

Uchiyama is the man of the division by a distance. Not really saying much tho.

I had the fight a bit wider 116-112 for Burns.
