    That's a shitload of money. I thought Calzaghe would have taken even half that.

    ...how in the world do they expect to profit on this? No amount of 24/7 will dupe people to tune in for a Hopkins fight as they did for The World Awaits.

    don't underestimate - the are plenty of us real, non-casual fans out there. :lol: just not all willing to shell out the cash for every single ppv that comes down the pipe. any purist would pass up a fight like mayweather-hatton for this one.

    no,your right.when it was first announced, on the SS txt page it DID say FLOYD -HATTON- SS1.i was overjoyed.they must have changed it after market research or something.*******s.

    Shake I think you'll be surprised how many buys/people turn up that this gets.

    GBP and HBO will market this immensley, they'll pull out all the stops. "2 Legends fight" They'll also bill it as Hopkins' last ever fight which would pull in even more.

    Calzaghe wouldnt be able to bring over 70k brits (requests for tickets like Hatton is for PBF) but he'll pull over 20k no problem at all to come see the fight.

    It'll also more likely be on ppv in the UK which would put even more buys into it.

    They'll go full steam ahead into this one guaranteed.
