Pavlik needs a tune-up fight before fighting a fighter on the level as Martinez. I think he should fight Williams, but Williams has already refused that fight before. Williams is a fraud. Williams needs to rematch Martinez and Cintron ASAP, but even if Williams had the guts to do such Goosen would never allow it. Williams wants his fights in his own turf where he has control of the judges and referee.
Why do people keep mentioning Winky? If Winky was ever going to fight Kelly Pavlik he would have accepted one of the 87,353 offers KP made in the past. Winky Wright is the only guy I ever heard Pavlik straight up disrespect. Kelly tried for years to get Winky in the ring, but Winky wanted none of it. And by the way, I am a Winky fan, and really wanted to see this fight back in 2006-2008. Now days this fight is way past its expiration date. Anyway, no one from Team Pavlik or Top Rank has mentioned Manfredo. That's just Peter and Lou diBella talking. I think there are some options that would be better than Manfredo. David Lopez at 160-164, Marcus Johnson at 168 just to name a couple. KP needs to start camp before to much longer, so we can expect to hear something definite pretty soon.
