Exactly how I see it going. I think Wlad will hurt him very early and just beat him up til he or the ref stops it.

People claiming Peter has some mental advantage because of the KDs are kidding themselves. Brewster beat Wlad and he was schooled every second of their second fight. Peter doesn't look or sound too confident either.

I'm glad Peter is in shape though. He certainly deserves a lot of props for fighting Wlad again unlike two certain fannies who shall remain nameless :bbb

:patsch:patsch:patsch Tyson's comp was light years better than today's comp, not only that but when tyson was champ, he was undisputed, there was NO dispute. Today you have 3 champs who seem unwilling to fight one another.

You can hardly blame Vitali and Wlad for not wanting to fight !! They are brothers! As for Haye , he is the ducker.

Wow, some of you are getting way too much caffeine in your diets. Guys, I'm not saying Tyson was bad. I'm not saying Tyson had no defense. I'm not saying Tyson didn't fight tough guys. I'm saying that Tyson created the stereotype that a champion is someone who KTFO of people. That's all I said. I liked Mike Tyson. I followed Mike Tyson back in the day. Yes, he had a very nice bob and weave peek a boo defense that worked very well for him. Yes, he was hard as hell to hit prior to his loss to Douglas. Yes, many of the guys he fought had good resumes. But when Tyson stopped being a boxer/puncher and turned into a pure puncher/the baddest-mo-fo-on-earth and abandoned his defense, he got beat.

As for some of you calling me a clown and telling me to go back to school and watch tapes and all that other garbage, well, that's completely unnecessary. You see, I'm probably at least twice your age, saw all the fights you mentioned, and have actually fought a couple of rounds. So don't insult me. Thanks. Have a nice day.

I'm kinda confused...who was Tyson ducking from 86-90? Did everyone else just suck?

I think everyone wishes Tyson would have faced Lewis, Holy, Bowe etc. from 91-96 but due to Tyson's incarcertation it didn't happen. On the other hand, there is the argument that Tyson was already past his prime at this time. But it would have been nice to see a prime Lewis matched with an (almost) prime Tyson.

Peter looks to be noticeably leaner.

Still crude and his power is overrated, but he does look to be in better condition. Props to him.

Wlad, ripped to the gills, as usual.

No Defense? Tyson had GREAT upper body/head movement before he went to prison, now he was no where good as Ali defensively, due to styles but he had a very solid defense in his day. Again, your knowledge is very suspect to say the least. Tyson Always looked to end the fight early, its just that the 4 year break away from the ring left him rusty, and wasn't as skilled as before. People aren't calling Tyson a great champ because of how he fought, he is called a great champ because he WAS GREAT, just as Ali and Holmes are ranked highly even though, they aren't KO artist. Tyson's run in the 80s was one of the best runs ever by a HW champ.

Unless, Wlad panics really bad again, Peter is in for a real beating and will be stopped. Peter is still way too top heavy, Wlad will once again be able to use his legs and potshot from the outside, as Peter plods into heavy shots.

I haven't seen the last four Peter fights. Does he still swing clubbing punches, or has he sharpened up a bit?

I don't think he has at all mate. He's gone backwards since Maskaev and I think this is his last chance.

Those were two different fights though........

.....because Wlad easily beat Brewster in the rematch, does it mean he's going to do the same to Peter.

If you remember, Wlad was destroying Brewster in thier initial first fight. Wlad then mentally went ot pieces and panicked when he punched himself out and had his tank on empty.
Wlad and Emmanuel Steward played it off as if something was medically wrong with Wlad, when the truth was that Wlad just punched himself out and wussed out of the fight.
Whats that saying? "Fatigue makes cowards of us all."

In any regards, you cant parralel the Brewster fight to the Peter fight. Brewster was never in that first fight with Wlad until Vlad gassed......
......this was not the case with the Peter fight which had Peter holding his own and competing all the way through from the 1st round to the last.

I'd have to believe that Wlad went into that Brewster rematch with the mentality that he could easily whip Brewster by just fighting at a comfortable pace for himself and not going for broke so early as he had done in their first fight......

......dont know what type of mentality he's going to bring for the Peter rematch, but he knows for certain that Peter gave him hell all the way through and had him hurt on several occasions from big shots.

Ideal body weight for a 6'-7" male is right around 240 (large frame) and about 220 (medium frame). Wlad is simply an athletic guy and in shape, hardly a monster considering his height.
