His dominance as a promoter does not mean he is the best.

I find it difficult to take him or his ridiculous newspaper columns seriously when he picks opponents (Sellers) for Maccarinelli that the British Boxing Board of Control deem to be unsuitable!

Indeed...but he still manages to get tens of thousands shouting "MACCA" when the fraud comes out to fight that North African...

    I agree with Frank Warren.

It's an absolute outrage that Joe Calzaghe is hiding up at SMW instead of coming down to welterweight to fight Hatton. It's the fight that the fans are demanding!

unfortunately the casual itv-watching boxing fans who have never seen haye will lap this **** up...

as for macca unifying the division, i'm sure he will. right after he's defended the wbo title for another 7 years or so.

Frank's columns are awful and his opinions rubbish, as bad as the "our gang" coverage over at Setanta Sports.

The Welsh crowd come out in spades to see Calzaghe because he beat a reality TV bum and Lacy. Calzaghe didn't draw massive crowds before that and you have to wonder if the home fans had just about had enough of his shitty, sub world class fights with Ashira and Salem...It's Joe's crowd, not Macaroni's.

Haye wins the main belts away from home vs the top man in the division and then Frank comes out with utter wank.

I'd like to see Frank Warren slime his way out of that question...I'd love it if junior witter called out Rees for a unification bout after Warren has spouted off like this.

"Witter was asking for crazy money. He's got to realise that he's not the draw here, he's used to fighting in fron of three men and a dog in Bradford when Gavin regulalry fights in front of packed houses at the Millenium stadium. We made them an offer which was more thanWitter made for his last three fights but he didnlt want to know"

    Something like that I reckon.

    Spot on :good

Anyone know what the deal is with Warren's column in the NOTW? Does he get paid for it or does he pay them for the propagand/advertising for his own fighters?

Pretty disgraceful that Haye's big win is covered in this way. Wonder what Warren's definition of "no strings attached" is with regard to the Haye deal?

in this case "no strings attached" meant haye giving up the chance to fight the number 1 cruiserweight in the world for the prestigous wbc and wba belts :patsch

You cannot put muscles on Haye's chin but you also can't put the WBC and WBA titles around Enzo's waist because at the moment they belong to the REAL CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMP OF THE WORLD!

Warren is just a jealous, sour c**t! Why not show class & give Haye credit for beating the recognised No.1 fighter at Cruiser? I thin it's about time sokeone wrote to The Sun & complained about Warren's column. It's utter nonsense & not worth a carrott!

Does the publication pay Warren? If so, the that's legalised robbery right there! Or maybe Warreb pays The Sun to have the column. If it's the former, The Sun are just wasting money!

It's called licking Mavccarinelli's arse until the sun goes down! Fwank needs to realise Haye-Maccarinelli happens only at HW, or it doesn't happen at all.

Haye's career is progressing, while Enzo's is stalling like a Ford Cortina with the head-gasget just blown!

I bet you, if Joan Guzman moves up to LW, Warren's come out with something like Guzman moved up, rather than face Alex Arthur, he's ducking Arthur etc.

You have to admire Warren, De beers has tried to corner the diamond market, Warren has tried to corner the WBO trinket market. It's easy to slag off what you do not have, if Haye was with Warren, would he be fighting Enzo? NOPE! Hatton used to be the one attacked week after week, now Haye has taken his place. It almost seems immature.
