I rewatched the fight on Youtube, and Peterson couldn't hurt that guy for nothing I think it's time for the peterson brothers to get a new trainer, Hunter is a good Amature trainer, but I'm not sure for the Pros. Anyway Rios came in big, and I think it made him hard to hurt what do ya think
Well Peterson isn't a hype job because he wasn't put on such a high pedestal, his brother was considered the best of the two, with that being said Rios was and is the better fighter, no suprise that he won for me, Anthony will be a solid fighter but he won't be an elite fighter, i've never saw that elite quality in either brother.
Peterson makes a lot of mistakes. His biggest was trying to brawl with a brawler. He should of boxed.
Peterson trainer give Peterson great strategy but Peterson just didn't listen and went straight to brawl with a brawler. That was Peterson biggest mistake in which it cost him.
:deal Rios did look bigger and stronger though. Could Peterson make 130? He might have a much better chance there. He definitely lacked the power to keep Rios away from him. The Golota imitation was completely *****.
Peterson cant make JL. He is a ripped and good sized LW. He has shown decent power in other fights also, its just Rios seems to have a helluva chin. I dont think this is so much of a case of Peterson being bad more like Rios is just that good. I agree with you on Petersons sorry ass low blows, he knows his ass was about to get KTFOd:dead
I agree completely. Peterson fought a stupid fight. Not saying he would win even if he fought the correct fight, but he wasn't exactly giving himself the best chance to win by A) coming in with gloves up and no jab constantly. B) trying to fight in the pocket against the bigger and stronger fighter when almost everything was getting through Peterson's defense. The only thing I wonder about his trainer (and does this trainer also train Lamont? Cause Lamont had this problem too) is that Peterson seemed pretty damn tired quicker than the average fighter.
Peterson tried to stand in the pocket like a cheap imitation of Floyd Mayweather or James Toney and he ate a ton of shots for his trouble. Should have moved/jabbed and then thrown occasional flurries a la Dirrell against Abraham. Rios wasn't too big, he just imposed his will.
peterson just fought stupid that night despite being the faster of the two, he sure couldn't fight inside. But after he got downed he added a little movement which he should have done earlier in the fight, brandon rios is good but he's just another mexican type of fighter(relentless and heavy handed) that would spell doom for him if he was facing a slick black american boxer
