Wladimir Klitschko vs David Tua - Dec 11 - Very Possible

I think you hit it on the head. Tua and Peter are both shortish powerpunchers with good chins but little else. At his best, Tua was a couple of levels above Peter in both the punch and the chin, but he is clearly not at his best.

I was very exceited about this fight, now I am less os. But what the hell, its an extra fight from Wlad.

 

see i actually understand wlad fighting in december because dont he have to have 3 fights to fulfill his contract with rtl?

and is he could somehow get tua as his mandatory i suppose that would make sense.

but if it is just an optional then it really shouldnt be an option. tua is better than briggs and harrison, but he aint better than peter. hell he aint even better than monte barret.

tua would be better than mormeck, but then again even shannon briggs would be better than mormeck.

i say bring on solis. or at a push bring on james toney.

 

Very bad fight not just styllistically for the relative midget and faded power puncher Tua but how is this fight even marketable at this point? Tua has beaten friday and arguably lost to barrett? I like both of those guys, but how does that qualify tua for a title challenge especially with the obvious physical limitations in a matchup with Wlad?? Briggs-Vitaly is bad but at least Briggs is still sellable as a big bomber with at least a somewhat recent KO win of note (sergei in 08).

 

Solis might be fighting Sprott. Solis will not be available for december

He's completely obsessed with the Klitschkos. It's sad. He needs professional help. :roll:

 

Harrison can't even destroy a fly let alone Tua.

 

Its a pointless fight, because Wlad is all wrong for Tua. Wlad has an excellent jab and defense. And if you box smart, you may beat Tua only with your jab. Considering that Tua is way past his prime, this fight would be quite boring and one-sided. It would be more one-sided than Lewis-Tua.


Adamek/Haye/Povetkin against either brother are only good fights that can be made at HW now. While Haye and Povetkin are much younger than Klitschkos, they may wait until brothers gets older, but Adamek doesnt have much time and I believe he will face either brother in first half of 2011

 

This one may get ugly in a hurry. Tua had no defense against WK. It is a bad fight, but, Hey, a least it is a fight, so go for it.

 

Meh, I'd watch it. Better than nothing.

 

Tua could never slip a good jab, let alone a great one & now he's fat, old & shot, Wlad would brutally KO him late.
